Plain and simple- Great value, outstanding BBQ! Ribs fell off the bone, chicken was moist, sides were flavorful and diverse. Environment and staff was inviting and helpful. Highly recommend.

Many restaurants in Aspen are over priced and places to "be seen". I understand it's part of being here. But it's always refreshing to leave the attitude elsewhere. Hickory House is one of those places. Zero attitude. Excellent food, no hassles. Our waitress Lauren was happy to explain the portion sizes and even brought us a sample of one of... More

I finally found a restaurant in Aspen that doesn't kill the budget--dinner was about half the price of the next-cheapest place we've ever been to in Aspen. Being from the South, I had relatively low BBQ expectations--ok, so I have a BBQ know-it-all bad attitude. There, confession is good for the soul. But this place is the real deal for... More

Wow - this restaurant is unpretentious, affordable, family-friendly, and delicious! My husband had the ribs and chicken combo and I had the filet. It was honestly one of the best filets I have ever had anywhere. Try the au gratin potatoes as a side - cheesy and delicious. Our server Michael was terrific! Very friendly and attentive. Don't skip dessert... More

Decent BBQ place, chill and homy atmosphere, tried to have a table outside during summer. Liked the BBQ sauce, and the locals recommended me brisket, definitely try it out!

Heard this was a "don't miss" place to eat while in Aspen. We tried ribs, catfish, pulled pork and some sides. I like sweet bbq sauce but this was too sweet. Same for baked beans sauce. Ribs were a bit overcooked and drowning in sauce. I love fried catfish and it was recommended by the waitress. I asked if it... More

Dined here for breakfast and returned again for lunch in the past month during our visit to Aspen. We chose outdoor table both times and service was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was fantastic, and the reason we chose to go back. The blueberry pancake ordered as a side filled the plate, their omelet was ginormous and prices were all... More

No, definitely not a place we will visit again. The food wasn't that good. The meat that was buried under too much sauce, wasn't that good and the moody waitress didn't make us feel ver welcome.

We were craving some BBQ and had this place recommended to us. A short 3 minute drive from town, but worth the trip. Tasty ribs and a fun place to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Friendly servers as well!
