The disadvantage of saying that you have the best ribs in Colorado is that people will come in with high expectations. I admit that their ribs were very good. They say they get them in Denmark. But I also had some amazing rib dinners while in Colorado and taste buds are so subjective. Don't get me wrong...this was a great... More

Nothing in Aspen is inexpensive. But the closet to a value may be Hickory House. BBQ is good, with lots of options for the meat, sides, combinations, etc. Lots of people are seen leaving with a box of left-overs in hand. Draft beer by the pitcher adds to the value. Good outside seating to enjoy the atmosphere of Aspen. A... More

The food was good. Very plentiful so don't order too much if you can't take it with you. Issue: The bill came and it was correct. We gave the credit card and when we got the credit card slip to sign the amount was higher. The waiter apologized and took extra off. He said it was a mistake. I can't... More

We Went with several friends who love/liked the ribs. While they were here before, this visit just an OK in the ribs department I don't eat meat so there are alternatives for me-BarBQ sauce, onion rings and yes the Salmon was quite good. While beer is the natural choice here, a couple of us tried the Jalapeño Margarita and really... More

Hickory House boasts Best BBQ Ribs in Colorado. So I was expecting the best. It's a casual inexpensive restaurant with a down home atmosphere. So if that's what pleases you, you'll be happy. And in fact the ribs, though small in portion size, were tasty enough. Then I ordered a side of apple sauce and was very surprised to receive... More

We tried it out for dinner last night. The atmosphere was really cool--a log cabin type feel. The waiter was very attentive and though the restaurant was fairly crowded, the wait for the food was not very long. As for the food, overall, it was just "good." The ribs were actually very good; dry rub, very tender and tasty. But... More

The free parking is the best part of this place. Parking at most of the restaurants in Aspen is difficult and this place has a small off street lot right next door! I'm a pulled pork snob, make the best stuff myself and wasn't really pleased with my meat here. There was a lot of it but some of it... More

We split the rib plate lunch, the ribs were good but side portions of beans and cole slaw were a bit small. We would eat here again.

Really good ribs with a tasty sauce. Quick service and easy to take the family. I have been eating here for years.
