It's been called Aspen's "finest spot to wine, dine and unwind." The name element 47 pays tribute to silver, the precious metal that first put Aspen on the map, and to the finest silver service cuisine -for breakfast, lunch, apres and dinner, 7 days a week. Our team of culinary and wine professionals is one very good reason we have enjoyed the rare 5-Star, 5-Diamond ranking for so long. Whether you ski in for lunch, drop in at the bar for a more casual rendezvous, or join us for the most special of occasions, you'll be greeted with warmth, not formality. You'll find the ambience - ceiling-height glass cases with some of our rarest wines, art by Michelle Grabner, Cameron Martin, Angel Otero, Scott Reeder, Philip Vanderhyden, Jose Lerma - as fine as the dining.

Maine Lobster Benedict! What more can I say? This was one of my favorite meals on this trip. We ordered cheese blintzes and pan seared trout as well. The combination isn't what most people would go for, but it worked out well. I would go back here, though it is a little pricey.

We had dined here before it changed to element 47. We decided to give it a try. All I can say is average. Very pricey and the service so so. The food was ok, but it was the service that lacked. Items were missing and my husbands salad came out for desert. There was a famous chef dining so I... More

The restaurant is located at the super cute and known Nell hotel. It is quite big and since the beginning they let you know how famous they are (a little too much for me). The manu is quite sophisticated (more in wording than in food) so teen agers sometimes tend not to understand. Obviously the waiters (that are snobbier than... More

Dear Solei15, Thank you for joining us with your family! Our aim is to provide a high end dining experience using the finest ingredients and I apologize if that came across as snobby, as that is not our intent. I’m happy you enjoyed our wine selection, and delighted to hear you will be returning! I hope to welcome you back... More

What I thought was a perfectly good restaurant (Montagna) located in the Little Nell hotel in Aspen is now called Element 47. After a $2.5 million dollar upgrade, I don't see much of a difference except that cozy wood paneled interiors have been replaced by contemporary greyish sleek styling, almost like that of an Ikea kitchen showroom. I visited twice... More

Dear ChrisDTW, I apologize you did not have a good experience while dining with us. Like many hotels, it’s necessary to refresh our interiors to ensure we are providing the highest quality product for our guests. While not as cozy as the old look and feel, the new design of the living room and element 47 pays tribute to the... More

We stayed at The Little Nell and just wanted an easy Friday night dinner so we walked downstairs to Element 47 and grabbed a table. We knew the service would be excellent, and it was. The menu is excellent and the wine list is outstanding. We started off with the oysters - which were very good, but for $36 per... More

Was there jan 9 with my wife for an anniversary dinner. Went often a few years ago when it was Montagna when my daughter worked as an events manager for the Nell and always loved it. Service was nice. We ordered a simple fare of Colorado lamb chops rare. They came rather raw but like a dummy i did not... More

Montagna was a superb dining experience in every way. The food, service, decor, etc. set it far apart from every other restaurant in Aspen, and compared with some of the top restaurants in NY, San Fran, and Chicago while still being intimate and unpretentious. Its successor, Element 47, is a good restaurant that falls in the same category as other... More

Dear SunandskiLA, Thank you for joining us over the holidays, and for your continued patronage! Aspen is known for exquisite food by creative chefs and element 47 did not let me down....this stellar restaurant at the Little Nell has incredible ambience, multiple wait staff at your every beck and call and just excellent food...on the pricey side and the plates are small....but definitely worth it for a special night out at this toney resort town...
