I used to go to this place just for the mojitos which were very good, until they changed the way they do the drink, and now they are not worth the trip. My last time there we went for dinner as I had been given a gift card for this place, and by looking at the prices of the food... More

This little bistro is tucked behind and below some shops in downton Aspen. Staff was friendly and the dinner was delicious - we enjoyed both steaks and seafood. Walls were decorated with masks. The mojitos are their specialty - I recommend one!

What a great find this was! The main restaurant is downstairs off the street and there are outdoor tables street-side for people watching if you prefer. So many of the menu items were unique combinations of both tastes and textures. We decided upon several of the tapas (chicken tamale, pork sopes, the chicken ceviche and grilled pork tacos) - each... I had dinner here with my wife and two teenagers. Everything was wonderful. We had soup and tamales as tapas/appetizers and then everyone got a different entree. They were all cooked and seasoned perfectly, with each dish having a unique sauce that almost had us licking the plates. The service was a little inattentive at times, but it was always... More

I am a big fan of Zocalito for their fresh fruit mojitos. The pulled pork tacos and guacamole appetizers are delicious. I also really like the black cod entree as well as the black bean soup.

I found the food a step above average. Place was empty at prime time on a Thursday night. Needs to step up to the Hype. Guessing the chef had the night off.

This place is truly unique. The chef/owner makes trips to the Oaxaca Mexico area to buy the best chiles possible. Many types that you do not find in the United States. He returns home and turns out the most interesting dishes using these chiles. I should mention that while the chiles do add some spice to the dishes, they will... More

Ordered the grilled calamari special which was amazing. But that particular night they were slammed from being short staffed (they apologized for it) but we were hungry so we bailed after the 45 minutes it took for the first drink and the app. But the app was really good and we would definitely go back the next time we're in... Zocalito was a pleasant surprise! It is downstairs and off a side pathway so it is a little hard to find. The atmosphere was very festive and the food was very good. It lives up to its Latin cooking billing...but this was much more eclectic cuisine than the normal Latin/Mexican places. The poblano peppered stuffed with chicken was great.

This is our favorite restaurant in Aspen because of the flavorful, interesting, quality food and the amazing staff that treat us like family. The atmosphere is very cozy and unassuming...more of a local vibe than Aspen glitz. But at the same time the food here is world-class quality that you won't find elsewhere. Gourmet Latin...not your usual Mexcan food. This... More
