This is one of the best restaurants in Aspen and a trip to Aspen would be incomplete without a visit to this tucked-away gem. The time and energy invested by the owner into the dishes on the menu can be seen in the high quality of the food and its presentation and flavour. Always a warm welcome and good, attentive... More

If you are expecting a trendy Aspen hangout...this is not it. If you are looking for exceptional flavors, authentic Latin, genuine servers rolled up in a funky (good funky) atmosphere, you will enjoy your experience like we did!

I like the place a lot. Maybe the chef had a bad day but I had better food there before. Service is really great there and they can provide you with some excellent cocktails.

We were recommend this place by friends and started of having a few drinks, hence to say we stayed for dinner and more drinks. The food is not standard mexican, but a mixture of lots of different combinations of the finest ingredients making this exceptional. I would highly recommend eating here.

Zocalito takes Mexican cuisine to new highs on a par with the best I have had in Texas or at Rick Bayless's restaurants in Chicago. Its not Tex-Mex, but wonderfully and subtely spiced fish and meat dishes. The use of wide variety of peppers gives some amazing tastes. I highly recommend the Chile Relleno (also very reasonably priced) and red... More

This interesting latin option should do very well with the Brazilian set or anyone who likes Mexican food but wants something just a bit different than the same old Tex-Mex. While not in a class with that served at Artisan in Snowmass, the red trout was a good choice, as were the mussels and the chicken chile relleno. The Oxaca... More

Food was amazing. Whether you're from Rhode Island or Texas and even if there is no place like home, this place could feed even a scarecrow or a lion!

Margarita starters & a mixture of entree's to share. All impressed with the use of Mexican ingredients in the dishes. Over the group the Seafood won over the meat meals. Highly recommend the Grilled Red Trout on rice + mex flavours. Service was very good - kooky waiter was entertaining and knew his stuff. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is one we always come to at least once when visiting Aspen. We were not disappointed. This menu is for people who might like something prepared a little differently than the normal fare. The chiles they use make all the difference in the taste. Even though it's located downstairs in a small area, it has a charm that... More

We visited Zocalito on the last night of an 8-night holiday in the Aspen / Snowmass area and were looking for something informal (we have two toddlers in tow) and a bit different. This place was great! Despite us turning up half an hour late, our server was totally charming and couldn't do enough for us. The Latin food (southern... More
