Our first dinner in Aspen and it was a real disappointment. We were seated in a dark corner and my husband had a post behind him that caused all passersby, including staff, to bump into his chair thruout the nite. We both ordered the Wild Fig salad, which was very good; his entree was a pasta dish - just ok;... More

We had dinner outside on the terrace. I ordered the fig sald- exquisite. Great bread, nice wines and service. For main course I had the home made fettucine with Manila clams, in a saffron sauce. My husband had the lamb brochettes. We were both very pleased with our food and highly recommend this restaurant. They were turning people away on... More

The Wild Fig, which describes itself as Mediterranean foods, has some great dishes. This week the fettuccine with clams was delicious, with perfect saffron pasta and a wonderful appearance. The Gazpacho was delicious also. The "Burrata" was a huge board of tissue thin meats, mozzarella, and greens - enough for three people. Fine service, clean tablecloth, bistro atmosphere.

Asked the server for recommendations for red wine and he pointed me to white. The server seemed to be put out that he had to wait on us. Not helpful in recommending anything. After we had ordered we heard him telling another table about the specials. He did even offer these to us. Our food was "okay". Portions were fairly... More

Nice European atmosphere in this cozy, small space. Service was friendly, but not overly so and servers were very knowlegeable. They were very accomodating with my gluten allergy. Fig creme brulee was outstanding. We went back for a second dinner, it was so good. A value for the quality of food.

Our first night in Aspen. We were in shorts and t shirts so did not want to show up if it was too fancy. The manager came over and was delightful, we did not have a reservation, but she let us pick a table. The food was truly wonderful, I had a mushroom ravioli and my husband had pork chops,... More

We had a wonderful dinner here- sat outside on the patio, which was really pleasant. Every aspect of the meal was outstanding- really delicious- starting with the olive oil (for dipping bread...so good we broke our no-gluten diet for it) which was amazing, continuing thru a completely delicious, perfectly prepared meal, Even the sauteed spinach-which can be soggy- was perfect-... The food is wonderful. Service is attentive. If you want Mediterranean food, this is the place to go. The menu and food quality is on a par with restaurants in New York and Chicago. A perennial favorite for good reason. TIP: There are only two seatings. Either eat early or have a late afternoon snack to hold you over.

We stopped here for dinner because the menu looked interesting and the outdoor dining area was quaint. The hostess looked a little disappointed that we didn't have a reservation, but we were seated outside at a very nice table - it helped that we got there early. The food was good but not outstanding, and the service was good but... More

Four of us had dinner here and each meal was delicious. We had an excellent waiter who really seemed to enjoy his job and took pride in answering questions, sharing his favorites and giving us tips as to the best location to watch fireworks! Would highly recommend this restaurant to friends.
