Dinner before play at the Arvada Center

This restaurant is a great hidden gem. From the outside it looks just ok, inside it is decorated cute and homey. The food was outstanding. We love German food and this is the best restaurant in the Denver area. I had the pork schnitzel and was able to cut it with a fork! Spaetzle and red cabbage... read more

Recommended by a friend. We like German, Polish Czech dishes so gave a try. Service was prompt and friendly. Salad and potato dill soup good. Schnitzel and beef stroganoff OK, not great. Apple strudel tasted good but pastry seemed microwaved.

Had dinner here before going to show at Arvada Center. Food was good but not like grandma made which is what I was hoping for.

We like German food and based on the high rating on TripAdvisor were excited to this restaurant. Located in an unassuming building and with modest interior appointments our first impression was of a quaint local find. Then the food came. It wasn't bad food, but certainly unremarkable. The red cabbage was a high point and the portions were very large,... More

This is a real nice German restaurant, the staff is very friendly and service was very good, The food was excellent. I had the saurebraten dinner which was some of the best I have had. As always a wonderful dining experience! The food here is CONSISTENTLY excellent and the portions are always generous. Tonight's special, Bavarian Pork Dumplings (meatballs) was great! To my very pleasant surprise, one of the dessert offerings was Plum Dumplings; something my Hungarian grandmother used to make. It was a bit different, but delicious none-the-less! Only criticism of this visit was... More

Ethnic Czech, German and Polish cuisine. Very cozy & clean restaurant surroundings. Friendly staff who are very knowledgable about the dishes they serve. I'm nit a drinker, but they do have a nice selection of beer. Personal favorites: cabbage roll with mushroom sauce; Polish kielbasa; jäger schnitzel. The prices are comparable to the amount of food you get (it really... More

My wife spent time many rears ago as an exchange student in Holland but very close to the German border so the people there cooked a lot of German food. This restaurant is one you see from the road and easily would pass it by but good friends raved about it so we finally tried it. I ordered a more... More

The owner of this restaurant moved to Colorado many years ago (we used to enjoy his restaurant in a Chicago suburb) and are so happy he brought his delicious Czech and German dishes here. We love the pork schnitzel and roast duck. The sauerkraut is delicious. Meals include soup or salad and the liver dumpling soup is delicious.
