The Tavern name belies the casual but sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant. The bar opened in the 1930's, and received the first liquor license in Arvada following the repeal of Prohibition. However, the decor has been modernized with respect for the history of the establishment. A long list of modernized classical cocktails and innovative new combinations are offered along with... More

Highly recommending trying this cool little bar out! The whole bar is dated back to the 1940's with cool, hip decor and the waitstaff dresses the part! The music is fantastic! Sit at the bar and enjoy watching your bartender prepare artistic drink creations like the "Side Car" or the "Olde Town Old Fashioned". Every ingredient is top-notch and all... More

It's too bad that we live 1200 miles away, because we would eat here weekly if we lived close. We shared the grilled wings as an appetizer, my daughter had the green chili (she said it was the best ever), and my husband and I shared the rib-eye and the spiced trout. Both were amazing - the blue-cheese emulsion on... More

Arvada is little known outside the Denver area, and even within Denver it is thought of as a somewhat upscale bedroom suburb with lots of big box stores. But the Olde Town portion of Arvada, just north of I-70 off Wadsworth Boulevard, has a number of trendy, high quality brew pubs and restaurants equal to those in LoDo or the... More

The staff was very friendly and made it feel like they "wanted" you there! What a nice feeling! The food was fabulous! The "house" wine was $8 a glass, so I only had one, but other than that wonderful!

Located in Olde Town, The Arvada Tavern is one of those old-fashioned bars where you can get a well-mixed drink and a well-prepared dinner. The bison burger was delicious, as were the grilled trout and the potato-and-cheese pierogi. Our server was very helpful and attentive, answering questions about menu items, filling water glasses, and delivering our orders with good timing;... More

My bride & I were intrigued by a Yelp review, that included the quote "How did they get the smoke, beer, and puke smell out of this place?". For decades, the Arvada Tavern WAS a real dive, with loyal clientele, but not much enticement for "foodies" or "So Fist i Cated" cocktail seekers. Not so much THESE days. We enjoyed... More

The Arvada Tavern has the best cocktails and drinks in town, hands down. The mixologists on staff are always making new drinks and recently they won 2nd place in a regional competition for their drink "Sage Advice". I highly recommend it. The staff, waiters, bar tenders, etc are all very friendly and talkative. They love their craft and it really... More

We went here for the 1st time tonight and were very happy with our choice. The atmosphere is old timey, service was outstanding, and the food was delicious! I got the pierogis and my boyfriend got the pork loin special - both were mouthwatering good. Will absolutely return here soon!!

This is a great, eclectic, fun place to eat. The food is always delicious and out of the ordinary. The drinks are unusual and also very good. Unlike some of the eateries in the area, they actually put alcohol in their mixed drinks. Imagine that! I just wish this restaurant was larger so bigger groups could fit more comfortably. Arvada...
