We selected the chateaubriand special for two, which was seared and served table side to our preferred levels of doneness with gorgeous sauce bearnaise and delicious accompaniments of tiny squashes and asparagus. The meal included our choices of special appetizers (we both had the duck breast with figs and cantaloupe), a chilled rhubarb and raspberry soup, baby greens salad, and... More

We had the Beef Wellington for two; absolutely delicious. Comes with an appetizer, each can choose their own. Followed by soup, choice of two, and a salad. Following the entrée, a dessert, coffee & port. The ambiance of the Fawn Brook is superb. Hard to believe a 5-star restaurant exists in tiny Allenpark, Colorado, but it's true!

Just the fact that this gourmet spot is located in remote allenspark makes this a must-visit in and of itself! The ambience is fantastic. We really enjoyed the servers and owner made our experience special--they weren't pretentious at all. We had two kids with us--their first haute cuisine experience--and atmosphere was casual and enjoyable for them. They enjoyed that they... More

Amazing setting, beautiful gardens, incredibly cozy log cabin, and the food blew us away. Everything exceeded our expectations and we will be going back as soon as we can.

Tucked away in the little mountain hamlet of Allenspark is this five-star gourmet restaurant. Wow. Best Curry Lobster on the planet. Leisurely service, fine dining, don't be in a rush. Savor the gorgeous mountain garden and legion of hummingbirds in the summer. They grow their own herbs here--gluten-free sacher torte is amazing. Highly recommend!

A trip to the Fawn Brook is like stepping through a veil, into another time, another world. I can't recall another restaurant destination that delights in such a manner. Wonderful owners and staff. Highly recommended if you are seeking what would serve as a movie set in the Rocky Mountains. Ambiance beyond sublime.....

Thought I'd try a romantic spot in the mountains for Thanksgiving and was lucky to get a reservation at the Fawn Brook Inn just 2 weeks before the holiday. Boy were we blown away by the location, service and cuisine - all top shelf! Not cheap but definitely worth it.

We've been Fawn Brook customers for many years, but the latest visit left us pretty sure we won't return again. The food was a long way below the level we've come to expect. The vegetarian entree was extremely poor. The main ingredient was steamed cauliflower: large chunks that had no spice of any kind, not even butter, salt and pepper.... More

We were looking forward to our return trip to the Fawn Brook. Don't know what happened but most of the food in our expensive meal was horrible. The escargot appetizer had no taste and actually made me gag. It was sent back. Our soup and entrees (halibut and schnitzel) were bland and nothing extraordinary. The halibut had sliced scallops on... More
