Maybe there's not that much you can do with a guacamole tostada, but I could have made this at home with more flair. Shredded iceberg lettuce, shredded cheddar, sour cream ... all standard stuff. Guacamole was pretty good. I figured that ANYWHERE in a place like Alamosa would produce something better than I could fin in Baton Rouge, but I... More

The servers are always really friendly and attentive and the food is served very quickly. The food is always delicious and tastes like authentic homemade Mexican!

My wife passed though Alamosa, an ate a late lunch on the was to Taos. We had no service on our smartphone, so could not check TA, so we settled on the most promising place on the main drag in town. The place was huge, the decor was ok, and the menu was pretty average. We decided on the buffet.... More

We liked the look of the outside, and the inside of the restaurant was very nice as well. Great Mexican food, and lots of it.

Good variety of Mexican and American foods. Fair prices. One bad thing is the waitresses double as the employees that operate the register on your way out as you pay. Ours got caught up as people were leaving and trying to solve another waitresses addition mistakes on the check. Never were offered refills on sodas.

Oscars is a good standby restaurant. They have decent Mexican food it a clean, friendly restaurant. Nothing stands out as especially great, but we enjoy the menu and service.

Service was good, but it wasn't busy at all. The salsa they serve with the chips tasted kind of watered down. The food was OK. I was really looking forward to a good margarita but was disappointed to have to ask for an extra shot of tequila on the side because all I got was a sweet mixture.

I don't know where in Texas, Mexico or California people are eating better Mexican food, but this is what Northern Mexican food is supposed to taste like. My family has lived here in the Valley since it was Mexico and the food here is like my family's home cooking. The service is very laid back and friendly. I realize from... More
