Community-oriented cafe that supports local charities.

Cozy and welcoming coffee shop. Baked goods are terrific. Books. Stuff for kids to do. Very community-oriented. Pleasant place to linger, tho' we took our selections out for the train once morning and for the drive home on another.

Stopped in for a quick bite during a stay in Alamosa. Service was good. Prices are a little more expensive than I imagined. There is a lot of character and good people inside!

The corner location makes access to this stop fairly easy, tho street parking may be a challenge as you pass by. They had non-dairy for my chai latte, which was good, as was the scone. They advertise "great coffee for a great cause" & they provide training & employment, plus their profits support efforts to alleviate community hunger, homelessness, after-school... More

We just had coffee. It was quite flavor-- more like Pete's with a little burnt roasted flavor. I was surprised at the four dollar per cup cost.

The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. The range of teas and coffee products and combinations you can order are endless! The food is slowly becoming more of a presence in this little coffee shop. I look forward to more offerings. Gluten Free options would be wonderful-hint, hint! The atmosphere is spacious and there are plenty of interesting and open... More

Need a good coffee while driving through Colorado? This place had excellent coffees, friendly service, and the proceeds go to help the local foodbank/homeless shelter.

Non-profit coffee shops could go either way, but I was quite happy with our choice to stop.  I had the light roasted Nicaraguan, and it was a solid, flavorful cup - kudos to the roasters (Solar, if I remember properly). The barista was friendly and knowledgeable and when my companion asked her opinion on which coffee she preferred, she was... More

We were driving up Highway 285 from New Mexico to Colorado. While going through the San Luis Valley we found this gem! Fresh food, great organic coffee, service was great, and the place was very comfortable. The best thing is that they donate a lot of the proceeds to local charities. This is gem in Alamosa. A great place to... More

Wouldn't know if it's good or not. Have visited 3 times as we were passing through. Don't even attempt to go if it's after 3:30 or even a tiny bit close to 4.00. You will not be able to order. Thank goodness for Starbucks.

Wonderful coffee house with good coffee, teas, food, and atmosphere. A neighborhood place with WiFi, so you can go and hang out on the overstuffed sofas. It is run by the Homeless Coalition. La Puente, and all the proceeds go back into helping run the homeless shelter and Food Bank system throughout our valley, so it is highly supported by... More
