Great pub style food

We first went to San Luis Valley brewing Co. for a drink. After checking their menu we decided to have the grilled salmon on a salad. Hubby and I split it since we weren't real hungry. Perfect choice. We went back the next day during happy hour and each of us had the fish and chips. Great fish and... read more

The food was fine, and the service was average. Not memorable (good or bad). My husband did try one of the brews and enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it's a must try, but it will do. Go to the Rubi Slipper first, though.

We had many great experiences at brewpubs all over Colorado on our recent trip. For some reason this place fell a little short. I had planned to come here when spending a night in Alamosa. For a Saturday evening it was pretty empty, not much atmosphere. The bartender was not the most outgoing person we ever met. They were out... More

This place has such potential but our experience ended up being unpleasant. We were seated quickly and by a friendly hostess, but it took 10 minutes for our waitress to appear to take our drink order. Food arrived in a timely manner and was decent, despite a tiny side bowl of cole slaw. After getting the check the waitress disappeared.... More

After several recomendations from locals we went to eat at this establishment. We were seated quickly even though it was busy. After that it was downhill. I ordered a cheeseburger cooked done. An hour later What I got was a burger that was undercooked. The waitress never came back until she brought our check at which point I pointed out... More

The menu looked good, but you have to be able to execute it well also. There were just too many flaws to even rate this average. Spinach salad with steak: Steak was good. Spinach had long tough stems. Dressing was served on the side (should be tossed with the salad) and was too thick and yukky - seemed like it... More

We weren't expecting to have a good meal in this small town, but this was an exception. Our server, Evan, was friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. The meal was served in a timely manner. I had one of the locally made Cajun-type sausage dishes which Evan had told me was more spicy but not too much. It was very flavorful with... More

Went at 7:00pm on a Sunday night. Were seated in 5 minutes and ordered quickly but then took 30 minutes for our appetizer to arrive. Main course took over an hour for a family of 4. Wait staff didn't refill our drinks. Seemed understaffed and/or unorganized. Would not return.

On a long drive, we drove through Alamosa, Colorado, and saw a billboard for this beer pub and grill. Good beer and good, reasonably priced food. Took a long time to get the food, though. Good ambiance.

No surprise, this place was packed on a Saturday evening. We waited for about 10 minutes to get a table. Service could have been more attentive. Food was a bit slow in coming from the kitchen, but all entrees were good. These included the mushroom pasta dish, french dip, and a black and blue burger. We did get a beer... More
