Pete's has been sold and is now closed for renovation by the new owners. We were by there at the end of July and not much has been done. Looks like it'll be next year before it reopens. Review of August 1 must be of another restaurant.

The clam chowder and the onion rings are to die for. The staff very courteous and helpful, the sandwiches huge. The coconut shrimp was some of the best we've ever had. Indoor and outdoor dining. Very nice.

The fish & chips are great. We go here every time we go to Avila. My wife loves there Mexican food. Tried other places in Avila, didn't like any of them, just happin to try Pete's and its the only place we eat at now, it's nice being over the ocean on a pier, that's just a bonus.

Pete's Landing is not a fancy place, you order at the window, seating is outside. It can get a little cold and drafty - depending on the weather. Sometimes, there is live music. we love the casual dining and great, fresh seafood - especially the Ahi and the Dungeness Crab. Haven't tried much else on the menu because we love... More

Oysters, tall cans of Tecate, live music and a beautiful view of Avila. What's not to love! Sitting can be hard to find!

I am pretty sure that locals form most of the customers, possibly fishermen and people who use the harbor at Port Harford. We were there on a rainy Saturday, and the place was doing pretty brisk business. These customers did not look like tourists! We got fish tacos, which were very tasty when embellished with pickled cabbage from the condiments... More

Impecable location halfway down the Avila Bay pier lends an air of authenticity to this fabulous seafood stall. This place started as a two seater in Avila Beach. We ordered our food, then took it into the pool hall next door to eat. The shrimp tacos and fried fish are a revelation, and washed down with a cool Dos Equis... More

Pete's is a located right on the pier, a perfect spot to watch the sunset and go meet all of the sea lions napping under the pier. The food is always fresh, the service is friendly, the ambiance is nautical and the experience is a must!

Saw the mixed reviews and was a little worried, but the food was good. Fish tacos were great as were the fried fish, calamari, and the crab omelet. Relaxing view with a band at lunch. Usually pier food isn't so good , but this was a pleasant surprise.

Had the best fish and chips I've had in many years! My son said the enchiladas were very good too. Sitting outside on the pier really felt like a vacation. Will come back again the next time we visit Avila Beach.
