Good variety of menu items and nice view of the harbor. Machaca was a little bland, but the hotcake my son ordered was perfect. The hubby had the chorizo scramble, & that was yummy. Very nice staff, as well. We sat on the patio, which I highly recommend.

Fat Cat's is a fun upscale coffee shop that had an extensive menu. Everything is good. I had the bacon and avocado omelette. Service is prompt they do get busy on the weekend. Prices are not the cheapest but reasonable.

Liked: nice location overlooking harbor, service was friendly. Disliked: not good value for quality of food. Scallops were soggy, bland, heavily breaded. Portions were huge, quantity over quality. My husband had fried oysters, bland over -breaded. Maybe we made poor choices, my daughters eggs Benedict looked good, huge portion , she couldn't finish it all but it was fine.

The food may be OK, but what we remember most is the lackadaisical service. The entry greeting is perfunctory, food service is haphazard, and you leave without any acknowledgement that you just dropped $35 for a couple sandwiches. We stopped going here, despite the cool location near Port Harford Pier.

Was a student at Poly, and lived in the area for a few years, but this was the first time eating at Fat Cats. Now I know why. Both hubs and I had fish tacos, daughter had fish & chips. The fish had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I guess I don't expect world class cuisine, but I expected the fish... More

Small, but really friendly place. Food was good and portions were large. Efficient service. If you try at a peak hour you may have to wait. It's worth it though. Wide variety of food. Great location on north end of Avila near a walkable pier. Parking is easy.

We went here on a week day in the off season. The place was empty. There was a special on hash and eggs and the waitress said it was homemade and good. Very gross. The corn beef was so fatty I could not eat it. What a waste. It was $13.50 and I had to leave most of it because... More

We ate breakfast here one morning and were very satisfied. We had the stuffed French toast and it was delicious. Great coffee and very friendly staff.

If you were a cat and lived near this restaurant, you'd be fat, too! We tried the fish tacos, and they were tasty and the portions were generous. Enough for two meals. Very friendly staff. Note: This restaurant is located near the San Luis Pier at the far end of Avila. It's not where the most restaurants are. It is... More

Love this place for Breakfast. Lots of specials and food off the menu is great. The owner walks around and greets you at your table quit often.
