Great for breakfast

We told that this was a great place for breakfast and we were not disappointed. My friend ordered the hash and it was homemade and looked great. Everyone (we had a group of 4) was happy with what they ordered. It's a small, quaint joint, right at the beginning of the Hartford (3rd pier) in Avila... read more

We met up with family to celebrate their anniversary and son's birthday. Our waitress, Carrie' was outstanding. We had Fish Tacos, their Avila Beach Burger, Shrimp Tacos, and the Mushroom Ravioli and Shrimp along with s hot dog from the children's menu. Everything was delicious, and portions were good. The pricing is about 15 - 20% above what the food... More

I had the best breakfast tacos ever!! Beef, potatoes, eggs, cheese, salsa and fried in tortillas. Yum. The others in my party also enjoyed their meals. We were seated outside with a nice view of the bay on a beautiful day. Will definitely go back again.

Stopped for lunch before taking the Point San Luis Lighthouse tour. My wife and I split a Club sandwich. We selected rye bread and french fries as the side. The sandwich was very tasty and the bread was fresh, but the french fries were mediocre. The service was attentive.

Maybe we ordered the wrong thing - Clam Chowder - something we thought would be perfect on a rainy day. It was so thick - and not from clams - but from lots of filler flour I think. I bet if I would have stood my spoon up in the middle of the bowl it would have stayed up straight.... More

stopped in for a late lunch recently and wanted something not too large and not too heavy. We thought a bowl of clam chowder would fit the bill on a cold and rainy afternoon. Unfortunately this wasn't the case as the chowder was extremely thick and pasty. Typical coffee shop.

I had a omelet which had chorizo and onions. It came with potatoes and toast. I enjoyed it very much. My friend had pancakes and said they were ok, but has had better. My omelet was so big I share it with my friend who enjoyed it also. They have a Patio when the weather is good to watch the... More

There were 14 of us, including four children. Ordinarily we would sit outside but due to the rain we were unable to. The folks made up a combination of tables and a booth to accommodate us. The food was good, I had the chorizo scramble special, which was very good. The server was able to keep us with us and... More

We drove out to see the pier and saw the cafe as we passed so we stopped for breakfast after walking the pier. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast and was a bit disappointed in that it was two slices of really good french toast with stuff between them. The bananas were green and bitter. I did eat the french... I went to Avila Beach for 5 days and had dinner here one evening. It was so delicious and fresh and the portions were large so you did no leave hungry, they have to roll you out! I order the chocolate cake to take back to my room and it was one of the best I have ever had. Simply... More
