Lunch with a view

We had not been out to the Port San Luis Obispo in some time and as we were just driving around on a beautiful day we thought why not visit the pier and commune with the wildlife around the pier and I wanted to visit the Harbor patrol office for reasons not involved in this review. Afterwards, as... read more

Although the view here is wonderful, the food was not good. I had the chowder, (which was served hardly warm) and squid appetizer (over cooked and chewy) My husband had the lobster Benedict, his eggs were cold too. We would not return to this restaurant.

This place has the friendliest servers and it seemed like one big happy family. The omelet I had was exquisite! Coffee was good and endless. The place is on the pier and was filled with a waitlist on a Sunday morning at 9 a.m.

This is a must stop for breakfast or lunch while we are in the Central Coast area! We love sitting on the patio outside if the weather is nice! Both the breakfast and lunch portions are ample! My husband and I enjoyed lunch during our latest visit; I had the avila burger (bacon, bbq sauce, cheddar and avocado; WOW! My... More

After having accepted an invitation for dinner here from some friends while on vacation, my wife checked the TripAdvisor ratings which weren't very favorable. We should have cancelled, but that would have been rude. It was nearly 6 pm when we entered. We were seated outside near a party of about 12 to 15, which was about halfway through their... More

stopped for HH and it has a spectacular view but that's about it. 3.50 HH maitais, margarita etc but didn't taste any alcohol in them. Chicken enchilada was 18 and were okay but service was just ok too!

Restaurant's location at the entrance to the pier in Port San Luis is ideal for a lunch stop on the way up or down the Central Coast. Menu was varied. Lots of seafood options. We had a grilled lobster melt (tasty, but a bit greasy- but melts tend to be that way), and a grilled lobster open-faced sandwich (also tasty-... More

We were hitting the hot springs for a soak but needed lunch first. We stopped at the pier and hoped for some seafood out on the pier but they were closed during the lunch hour. The Fat Cats was packed (not surprising since there isn't much else there) but we got a tiny table for two in a corner with... More

We enjoy the home style cooking. They offer a great value, the service is always fast and the staff very welcoming.

We had eaten at the Olde Port Inn on a previous visit which had excellent seafood. So sad to find it closed due to new management. Proceeded to Fat Cats Seafood that has a shared parking lot. Food did not compare. Had the combo plate and the breading overpowered the fresh seafood flavor we were looking for. Service and site... More
