I ordered the Fisherman's Platter and it was pricey but worth every penny. It has 2 scallops, 2 shrimps, calamari, clams, salmon, and 2 different whitefish. The clam chowder was a little too thick for me but still had a great taste. I also had rolls and butter. The meal cost me $54 (tax & tip included).

Four friends / business associates and I took dinner at the Olde Port Inn and we ordered a variety of dishes. I chose the Cioppino and was pleased although not awed which I was looking to be. The broth was a little too garlicky and this from someone that loves garlic. Three of my friends ordered the Halibut and were... More

We are doing a trip around California and planned to have lunch at the Old Port Inn at Avila Bay. I sent them an email several weeks ago regarding booking a table for Saturday 12th June Lunch. We never even received a reply which was a bad omen, but decided to go there anyway and chance our hand. As it... More

This is nice for a special meal out. The atmosphere, food, service and view were all great, especially at sundown

Olde Port Inn ... On the 3rd pier in Avila (most northern). My husband had fresh sole & I had steamers with a Caesar Salmon Salad. The food was fabulous & reasonable. All prepared to perfection. The view is beautiful with the ocean & the boats. It is at the end of a fishing pier so you have the smells... More

This restaurant has an excellent location at the end of the pier. We had reservations for a group of eleven and were seated upstairs - which was good. It was much less noisy and we could open windows for a nice breeze. The down side was the food and the service. Maybe they weren't prepared for a lot of people... More

The title pretty much sums it up. Great food but you should be aware of several things. The menu is rather limited. 10 entries (plus 3 specials), 4 salads, and appetizers isn't much to choose from. The flavors are bold, nothing subtle here. The entrees were all delicious but not everyone cared for the mixed veggies (I think they had... More

The Olde Port Inn (OPI) was a place I called home in the 1980s. I worked there for almost eight years, in total, before moving to Santa Barbara to continue my education and pursue my current career. OPI had it all: fresh seafood, incredible wine list, live music (Pier Pressure/Bar Sharks), concerts and the annual Sea Food and Wine Fare.... More

Very cool restaurant! I called for reservations just before sunset. The restaurant encourages you to get the name of the person who takes your reservation...tells me they've had some problems with reservations. You drive out onto the end of the pier where there are maybe 12 spots with 2 hour parking. You can hear the barking seals. They hang out... More
