Great food, awesome location

I've always loved walking down this pier-watching the sea lions, and all the local activity. We'd had wine and clam chowder there previously, maybe 18 months ago, and it was just so-so. I'm not sure if there is currently a new chef, but this time our food was wonderful! I had the chioppino, and my... read more

It's not often that you get an opportunity to eat in a restaurant located on the end of a pier. Old Port is just that and while the food is marginal the staff and the location make it something worth trying.

I always insist on at least one meal at the Old Port Inn when we are here. My husband does not like seafood but he goes along. We went yesterday, late afternoon. My husband had a hamburger which he said was average....okay, but not the best. I had the "fish and chips" which was rock cod and I asked to... More

With the chef and his wife now totally involved with the restaurant...we found the food and service to be up on the charts. Personal service to accomodate your needs in a very relaxed atmosphere. Fish is very fresh and never had a bad meal here Very varied menu with simple dishes to more complex.

A beautiful location. High expectations after reading reviews, but disappointing. Our family enjoys really good seafood, and even knowing this might not be the best we had high hopes. The crab cakes were mushy, the clams were very salty, and the steak too charged. The shrimp cocktail was spot on, but nothing else. The drinks were strong, maybe that helps.... More

Never mind the check, when you see the faces of your family and friends while they dine on fine fresh seafood in such ambiance, the cost is a pittance

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Olde Port Inn. The evening began with a scenic drive to the end of the pier where we greeted by the songs of a giant sea lion at the bottom of the stairs to the water. Dozens of his family members were lined up at rest along the ledge just above the water... More

Be prepared to walk to the end of the pier to reach Olde Port Inn. They have wonderful sea food. Their steamed clams are awesome. We have been here several times for dinner and the sea food is always good. It is not cheap but well worth the price.

Food and service was very average. Not commensurate with the prices. Server was friendly, but not very attentive. Won't be returning.
