We went here for lunch. They have fresh salads and tasty shrimp tacos. The atmosphere is relaxed. The view is perfect. Avila is such a cute town, with a few, select, restaurants and shops. It is a great stop for the day and Custom House is the best place to stop in for lunch.

A group of six had lunch and everybody was exceptionally please with the food (fish & chips, calamari & chips, Shrimp Louie and fish tacos). The service was fast and friendly and the setting is beautiful. Can't miss here.

We had dinner here and a Sunday breakfast. The food was very good but it was not the fastest place in the world and probably a little over priced. However that should be expected given the location and the fact that it probably caters almost 100% to visitors to Avila Beach.

Great food, great service. Although if you come on a busy weekend, Things could be a little slower. On the beach. Other restaurants and shops.

Hadn't been here in a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised that everything is as good as I remember, especially the seafood. Don't pass up a scallop special, if they have one, the pepper crusted scallops over linguine was supurb.

I stopped here for brunch after a photo shoot. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was pleased. Seating was quick. I ordered the veggie frittata with side order of bacon and coffee. For this meal, under $20.00. The prices on the menu very reasonable, especially for such a popular location. Food was tasty, but, for my... More

We visit this restaurant whenever we visit Avilla Beach. The menu is varied with choices to meet everyone's palate. They are willing to prepare your food as requested. I enjoy ribs but not with BBQ sauce. They prepared my ribs with their special rub and I was able to enjoy the flavor of the pork. The other diner ordered Mahi... More

My love and I ate at Custom House three times on our trip to Avila Beach. The first time we stopped in for lunch. I ordered the Turkey Club with mixed greens and he ordered a Patty Melt with clam chowder. Both were delicious. The Turkey Club was served with a generous portion of turkey and the salad was really... More

The food was top notch as was the service. We had lunch and it was so good that we came back for dinner too. The clam chowder was exceptional and loaded with clams. I really liked the fish tacos I had for lunch and the seared scallops and shrimp plate for dinner came with rice and steamed vegetables and was... More

I enjoyed the Custom House but its very noisy, and I would say the portions are small for the price. I had a crab Louie salad which had a few bites of crab in some spring lettuce. I would not reccomend it although the calamari appetizer was worth ordering. The service was good but I gave them three stars because... More
