We were referred to this place by our hotel (Portofino) for a light lunch that we could takeaway to the hotel's sun deck. Nice selection of sandwiches and salads (a bit diverse with spicing and mixing of ingredients- not the same boring stuff!). Good for vegetarians (Falafel sandwich was very good) They have a patio seating area that looked large... More

Rarely do we ever go back to any restaurant twice, especially not for lunch. Cafe Metropole offers such a good variety of healthy AND tasty lunch selections that we ate lunch there two days in a row. The cafe is on Metropole and easy to find (look for the line-up) just off the main street (Crescent) of Avalon Harbor. There... More

We tried this restaurant for lunch and it was excellent. I had the California Cobb Salad and it was great. So fresh! I also had a really good strawberry/banana smoothy. My husband had the Caprese Sandwich. He enjoyed that as well. This is a great place for a quick bite to eat and is a great alternative to the greasy... More

Wonderful healthy meals including vegan choices. This small, quiet cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. Want something a little different from the menu and the owner will accommodate you. Great lunch stop!

Hard to find, fresh, organic, healthier food on Catalina. Felt like most places were beer and fried food crowd. This place was fresh, tasty all around nice.

Want some amazing food.... something that's healthy? do you like homemade soups? I've been to Catalina several times over the last 5 years and this is my favorite stop everyday for lunch. I had the leanist pastrami sandwich I've ever eaten in my life... not a bunch of fat and gristle like you get a most places. The chicken salad... More

Lunch counter--order and sit, they bring the food. Fresh, but it took a very long time (and they were not crowded). After sitting for 10minutes, the hostess cme out to tell me that they were out of what I ordered, and please choose something else. Iced tea is self-serve from a pitcher in a fridge. No free refills. Ice cubes... More

The sandwiches we eat were good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the portions. Only problem was they forgot my coffee and came out with it as I was finishing my meal. It was a bit cold and did have much taste. The menu selection was great and the food was very wholesome,

My family and I ate here when we were in Catalina last weekend and it was all we hoped it would be. The menu is healthy and reasonably-priced, and the food was delicious. I had a fresh veggie sandwich that had some incredible hummus spread on it, and the black bean soup was excellent. Their drink selection is great as... More

We were told there was a great place to eat here that even offered gluten free meals, but when we arrived we were told this was only open during summer, for catering or for special events.
