you wouldn't think of chinese while on an island but this is a must stop! The food was the best we had the whole trip! Everything was Great. I had the Kung Pao. My daughter the shrimp and chicken combo and my mom the Chicken chow mein. We shared the famous green beans which are a must !!

The Chinese food here is above average and the servers are very friendly. I would recommend for lunch as they have complete luncheons that are reasonably priced.

The service was terrible, and the food was surprisingly bad (considering the good reviews I have seen elsewhere). The short ribs were inedible and tough, and the spicy chicken was made with cheap chicken (full of "bad bites"). The only good part of the meal was the rice, which was actually quite tasty.

Given that this is a tourist town and there's no other Chinese food on Catalina, we were really surprised to find the food of such good quality and for such reasonable prices. This is family-run business that has some interesting character, but the food is really delicious and is a place you'll find many of the locals (always a good... More

This restaurant was part of a tour and is one I would go back to and experience the entire menu. We had the Green Bean dish to sample and I swear the beans were just picked that morning and cooked as we walked through the doors. The owners are very friendly which makes the visit that much more enjoyable.

Mr. Nings. is a nice standard family owned Chinese restaurant. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a seeded second class hotel. the only flaw to Mr. Nings is that if you have to use the restroom, you need to sort of go thru the kitchen down a back hallway into... A pleasant surprise. Good food, ample quantity, friendly service and decent prices. Decor is nothing great but the food makes up for it. We would go to Mr. Ning's again for sure.
