I'll start with the good stuff. Antipasto Plate appetizer was excellent with salami, Parma ham and spec (no prosciutto). The cheeses, marinated artichokes and grilled zucchini were delicious as was the mango chutney. We also had Jorge's cold tomato soup with Spanish ham and chopped egg that was very flavorful but intense. Don't think I could have finished a whole... More

Got caught in a shift change or break time-so service was a little a miss. Food was good, not great. Would try here again, but would be 4th or 5th choice.

I went to Avalon because I had the opportunity to check off my "bucket list" a stay for a night at the Wrigley Mansion. Little did I know that a meal at the Avalon Grille would be the peak experience of the trip. The night before we had a mediocre meal at Steve's Steakhouse next door and the waiter was... More

This is a beautiful just across from from Avalon Harbor. have a really nice enclosed outdoor patio so you can people watch as well. The food is great, however a little pricey for those watching their pennies.....well worth it for a great lunch or dinner!

Great dining experience in Avalon, good food and wine list. Doors open to allow the sea air to enter the restaurant, nice way to spend an evening on Catalina.

The atmosphere drew us in. Beautifully lighted, open air and great wrap around bar. We came here later in the evening for a few appetizers and cocktails. The food was very good. It is expensive and the portions were small but we enjoyed everything. The best part was the bar. Our bartender looked like Tom Selleck. I kid you not.... More

Luckily we made a reservation for this popular and almost-elegant restaurant along the Avalon Boardwalk. The martinis were perfect, the charming Megan served us efficiently, the caprese salad (even though basil-free) was tasty and abundant. Their Bacon Risotto alone is a reason to return, but so is their excellent wine list, and their eager-to-please staff. Full five stars!

We stayed 2 minutes away at the Pavilion Hotel that has no restaurant, but is the sister company of the Avalon Grill. We had our first lunch at the Grille, ordering the hamburger and salad and fish sandwich and salad. My burger came lukewarm with a 1" thick slice of iceberg lettuce and a thick hard bun that was cold... More

My husband and I went here for our anniversary to Avalon over the weekend. Although many people suggest we go to Steve's Steakhouse I felt that Avalon Grille looked to have better service and a better menu for my particular taste. We had the most terrible host. she never paid us attention and attended the people behind us first! once... More

This was our second time dining at Avalon Grille and our most recent experience exceeded all expectations when considering you are on an island in a very touristy area. I had stopped by the restaurant earlier in the day to confirm my res which was made on Open Table and requested an outdoor table. We arrived promptly for our reservation... More
