Best seafood on Catalina

My husband and I ate here twice the food was so good. There are many locals who eat here. You can tell it is popular when the cruise ships are in town you can't even find a seat.

We expected something extraordinary but felt it was just a good lunch. The lobster roll was great, fish and chips just average. Service was fine. It still may be the best place for seafood on the island.

We went here our first night in Avalon and I completely loved it. The poke was excellent and the lobster special was great. Friendly staff, wonderful experience. Then the next night, after a disappointing encounter at another Avalon restaurant, we decided we liked the Lobster Trap so much we'd just go back. This time, however, we waited...and waited...and waited for... More

We went a couple of times during our 3 day stay. The service was great and the food well prepared. It is a local spot and was full both times we were there even though it was the off season and mid week. The seafood is well prepared and generous portions, nothing fancy, just good eating. Will definitely be back... More

We love this place. Nothing pretentious, fair prices, good service and excellent lobster (in season) and seafood. Reservations for 10+ only so get there early in season. Good news is that the tourists off the ships don't seem to know about it yet.

We probably had THE best clam chowder we have ever had!!! Other than that... well, let's just say the food was so-so. Best clam chowder, though.

Crab cakes were the best we've ever had! And the staff was very friendly 💕 another waitress had overheard us saying that this was my finances birthday weekend and surprised us with a slice of cake and sang happy birthday ~ made him feel special! Love this place 😍

We were told by locals and visitors alike to check out the Lobster Trap. Food was good. The service was a bit slow and forgetful. However, if on the island for a relaxed and local laid back visit, this is the place.

Stopped here at the end of our day trip. Food was good, fresh, and drinks topped off a great meal. Close to the water.
