Gelato is great - had it multiple times during our last stay. They have cool trinkets and areas to relax. Highly recommend

So, I know it's confusing... this place has either super HIGH or super LOW ratings. So, clearly it depends on what you're looking for. It is a gift shop and a bistro -- and the critiques of their service are right -- it's not great. But it's a great place to go if you have time to hang out and... More

The food at this place is great, there's a lot of interesting food combinations but they almost always get it spot on. The pizzas and sushi are well worth a try. The array of drinks on offer is spectacular as well, as a beer lover I was in my element. The only downside is the price, it's not the cheapest... More

We go to Catalina Island every summer. This is the first year I have tried their sushi, and I have to say it was EXCELLENT. However, of the 6 orders we placed on two different occasions, 3 of them were wrong. And they're pretty slow. But my biggest pet peeve? They refuse to stock anything less than 2% milk for... More

Not only is this place almost a museum of cool art & stuff, it is the go to place for great wines, champagne and some of the best coffee & morning pastry goodies on the island. Really nice sushi in the evening as well. Whenever we are in Avalon this is one of our first stops (usually for good wine)... More

Really good coffee served in large bowls!! What to eat? Ham and cheese croissant, Mediterranean Bagel or smoked salmon bagel. My son Hugh loves the granola, which is excellent.A very interesting shop with good paintings etc and good quality food.

We popped in to shop and try the gelato and cheese cake. We love this place! The building used to be a bank. They store their wine collection in the beautiful vintage safe. We loved the classy home decor and gifts. We purchased a small print of Catalina. I can't wait to frame and hang in! On our next trip,... More

This spacious coffee bistro and gallery is hard to miss at the east end of town. Good coffee, nice wine/beer selection, and yummy desserts make this a worthwhile stop. The gallery assortment is a little eclectic, but you might find something of interest. Breathe deep when you look at the pricing and just remember that you're on vacation.

I don't understand the negative reviews! For one, the service was impeccable. The staff is friendly and helpful and knowledgable and went out of their way during both my visits to make sure I wasn't exposed to gluten (my allergy) during my meals. They went into the kitchen, they read ingredient labels. They took care of me! Which is far... More
