Personally I thought the burger (teriyaki burger) was pretty good. Best burger in town? I don't know but better than any chain, fast food, or even an In and Out. Daughter had the teriyaki bowl over rice which was huge and my mom had the avocado sandwich. She said the bread was amazing. Fries were soso and the peach pie... More

This place was recommended as having the best burgers in northern California. Sorry to say that was far from the truth. Burger was extremely greasy, loaded with salt, and overpriced. Fries were very good, milkshake (marionberry) was average . The only thing that saved the evening from being an entire loss was the excellent peach pie.

Adorable little burger joint/specialty store/bakery. The burgers and fries were excellent with fresh toppings. Old diner style decor. It's not fancy but it's not meant to be. We will be back!

This is a MUST go to place regardless if your a tourist, passing through or a local. Not only do they have great food (best burgers around) but they also offer a unique food market. You will find some of the coolest food items: wines, vinegaretts, fruits, nuts, salsas and the best pies you've ever tasted. I was even able... More

I've eaten here for years. Extraordinarily busy on weekends, especially ski weekends. The best burgers in the Auburn area. Fresh and delish. Fantastic pies as well as a fabulous fresh fruit and veggie stand. Right off I-80 with very easy access using the Bowman Road exit.

I've had bad luck at Ikeda's. Didn't care for their burgers, and (most recently) was underwhelmed by their Chili Cheese Fries. The chili is the cheap canned stuff. The fries were mushy (undercooked, I guess). Very overpriced Machados (on the other side of the Freeway) has better pies and for less money!

We shop at Ikeda's all the time. The wild salmon is really good. The veggies and fruit, the freshest from anywhere, although more pricey than our local grocery. The restaurant is a great place for travelers to and from Tahoe, much to our dismay, as we locals love to eat there and have to stand in line on weekends behind... More

This place is a must visit if your looking for a great tasting burger. They offer ground turkey patties as a substitute for beef which is a major plus. But for burgers and fries, Ikeda's is top notch. They also offer a varied selection of breads for your burger to include whole wheat and marbled rye. They offer all the... More

A 60 minute drive from Truckee- 30 degrees warmer- When we arrived, the ordering line was out the door- That says something. We ordered the Tasty Burger, fries and a slice of Dutch Apple Pie. Took about 20 minutes to get served but we were told that so had time to peruse the store and found some salsa samples- quite... More

Ikeda has fantasic pies and fruit. Hamburgers are ok. If you like less sweet pies, just drive across Hwy 80 to Machaco's. Both places are great!
