Our family always stops at one of the Ikeda's on the way to Lake Tahoe (there is one in Davis as well as the main store in Auburn). If you've never been to Ikeda's you will be blown away by the variety of fresh fruits and prepared foods that are sold there. Perfect if you are staying at a condominium... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend as a great stop on the way to Tahoe. We were so disappointed! First of all the place was fly infested. As we ate our meal, flies kept landing on our food. I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl. For $8.99 I got a... More

This places has it all, burgers, pies, fresh fruits and vegetables etc. It can get very busy and the parking is limited. If you don't need a burger then head out down highway 80 west and just before Davis is another location with pies, freezes and tamales and of course the fruit stand.

This is a local tradition - and an 'on the way to Tahoe' stop tradition. It's a fruit/veg stand, fresh pie shop, gourmet goods and burger/sandwich grill (with teriyaki bowls and other options). Stop for a fresh fruit pie - they are usually still WARM and oh-so-good. I love the peach, my friends swear by the blueberry. They also sell... More

We ALWAYS stop at Ikeda's when traveling in the area. Great cheeseburgers, great fresh fruit pies, and our favorite chipotle BBQ sauce to take with us. We miss the smoothies they used to serve outdoors before the health Nazis made them stop, but a limited (it seems) version is still available inside.

We've eaten here a few times now. The burgers are very good. The pies and cobbler are even better. Prices are high, but it's still a fun place to visit. While waiting for your food, explore the store. They have a fun selections of sauces, baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables and other goodies.

Ikeda's is a treasure. Best homemade pies, chicken pot pies, sauces, hamburgers and much more. The best fresh fruits and vegetables around. Everyone needs to experience Ikeda's.

I had the grilled cheese, so delicious. My friend had a burger and she said it was very good, but not the best. This place gets super busy at lunch time so just be prepared to wait in line. The Little country store is really cool with lots of great snacks to take on your trip. especially if you're headed... More

Personally I thought the burger (teriyaki burger) was pretty good. Best burger in town? I don't know but better than any chain, fast food, or even an In and Out. Daughter had the teriyaki bowl over rice which was huge and my mom had the avocado sandwich. She said the bread was amazing. Fries were soso and the peach pie... More

This place was recommended as having the best burgers in northern California. Sorry to say that was far from the truth. Burger was extremely greasy, loaded with salt, and overpriced. Fries were very good, milkshake (marionberry) was average . The only thing that saved the evening from being an entire loss was the excellent peach pie.
