Great stop for Pie

Ikeada's has a fruit/produce/bakery stand plus a restaurant. This is the place to stop in for a quick snack or pick up produce for a picnic. The pies's are excellent. Just skip the ice cream topping as it is soft serve. I love the seasonal variety. Next time i am going to try the hamburgers.

Great place to pick up a hamburger but the real find is the small market attached with fresh fruit, homemade pies and wonderful food in every corner. Can't make a trip up to Tahoe without stopping. It is located on interstate 80, worth the short detour to stock up on the great fare.

Ikeda's is a farmers market & restaurant all in one. Located just outside Auburn, it's a great pit stop on your way to or from Reno or Lake Tahoe. The burgers are delicious & they also have a good chicken teriyaki sandwich. This is a bustling place & often crowded, although they get the food out to you fairly quickly.... More

I was celebrating my birthday but did not want the traditional cake. I requested a small pie from Ikeda's. It's more reasonably priced and it has four generous portions. It was the perfect way to celebrate. If you are travelling to Tahoe or Reno, stop at the Foresthill Exit from I80 East or West for one of their Tasty Burgers,... More

We have visited Ikeda's countless times. Sometimes to grab snacks (they have aisles & aisles of goodies-- perfect for the road trip to/from Tahoe). Our favorites are the black licorice & honey roasted sesame sticks (they are addictive!). The flavored corn nuts are good, too. We also love their sauces. You'll find a huge section of dressings & sauces &... More

Stopped by today and ordered the teriyaki onion burger. Only items listed for the burger were the meat, onions and teriyaki sauce. I was excited because I love simple. I was a little disappointed when I got my burger and it had lettuce, tomato and some kind of sauce on it. I took my first bite and thought not bad.... More

This fresh market was (is) located just down the street from our hotel, the Best Western Golden Key, so we decided to stop in and check it out. OMG! If I lived next to a place like this I'd never buy my produce from a grocery store again. Fresh fruit and vegetables to die for. Fresh homemade cookies, breads, candy/fudge,... More
