We've eaten here a few times now. The burgers are very good. The pies and cobbler are even better. Prices are high, but it's still a fun place to visit. While waiting for your food, explore the store. They have a fun selections of sauces, baked goods, fresh fruits and vegetables and other goodies.

Ikeda's is a treasure. Best homemade pies, chicken pot pies, sauces, hamburgers and much more. The best fresh fruits and vegetables around. Everyone needs to experience Ikeda's.

I had the grilled cheese, so delicious. My friend had a burger and she said it was very good, but not the best. This place gets super busy at lunch time so just be prepared to wait in line. The Little country store is really cool with lots of great snacks to take on your trip. especially if you're headed... More

Personally I thought the burger (teriyaki burger) was pretty good. Best burger in town? I don't know but better than any chain, fast food, or even an In and Out. Daughter had the teriyaki bowl over rice which was huge and my mom had the avocado sandwich. She said the bread was amazing. Fries were soso and the peach pie... More

This place was recommended as having the best burgers in northern California. Sorry to say that was far from the truth. Burger was extremely greasy, loaded with salt, and overpriced. Fries were very good, milkshake (marionberry) was average . The only thing that saved the evening from being an entire loss was the excellent peach pie.

Adorable little burger joint/specialty store/bakery. The burgers and fries were excellent with fresh toppings. Old diner style decor. It's not fancy but it's not meant to be. We will be back!

This is a MUST go to place regardless if your a tourist, passing through or a local. Not only do they have great food (best burgers around) but they also offer a unique food market. You will find some of the coolest food items: wines, vinegaretts, fruits, nuts, salsas and the best pies you've ever tasted. I was even able... More

I've eaten here for years. Extraordinarily busy on weekends, especially ski weekends. The best burgers in the Auburn area. Fresh and delish. Fantastic pies as well as a fabulous fresh fruit and veggie stand. Right off I-80 with very easy access using the Bowman Road exit.

I've had bad luck at Ikeda's. Didn't care for their burgers, and (most recently) was underwhelmed by their Chili Cheese Fries. The chili is the cheap canned stuff. The fries were mushy (undercooked, I guess). Very overpriced Machados (on the other side of the Freeway) has better pies and for less money!

We shop at Ikeda's all the time. The wild salmon is really good. The veggies and fruit, the freshest from anywhere, although more pricey than our local grocery. The restaurant is a great place for travelers to and from Tahoe, much to our dismay, as we locals love to eat there and have to stand in line on weekends behind... More
