Very good food in a charming atmosphere!

We finally took the plunge and ignored the name and now wonder why we took so long. (The name is not really inviting). The food is at least very, very good. The atmosphere is comfortable and charming. The wait staff is well trained and attentive. The facility is truly unique in style and location. I... read more

Shared lunch with a business partner and we both decided to order from the lunch menu. The food was good, seating seemed plentiful. We were there on their burger day and the burgers were good, but not worth driving miles for at this point. Lots of options for sides and everything was well cooked. Plus, while we didn't order from... More

We had one of the best meals of our trip at Awful Annies--it should be called Awfully Good Annies. It was worth the wait for our table. Service was friendly & attentive. Food was nothing short of GREAT. Lots of flavor in everything. My husband and son ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs and said it was the best... More

We were at Awful Annie's on the Presidents' Holiday, and arrived about 11:30am... Their location requires street parking, and since it was the holiday, we parked a few blocks away. I'd seen on reviews that they are dog friendly, and they have a covered porch they serve on, but there isn't much room, so you aren't able to have your... More

Awful Annie's is an institution in Old Town, Auburn. Right off the interstate Hwy 80 it is a favorite for locals and travelers alike. Daily specials always give you something different from the standard fare, but everything is so good. Try the grilled salmon sandwich, monte cristo French toast or the four flavors of bacon as a side. Their Bloody... More

I have eaten at Awful Annie's many times and have NEVER been disappointed. Their menu is large and filled with choices that are not only delicious but also nutritious. Best of all, they cater to my gluten/dairy-free needs. I can always find something wonderful to eat there. I can highly recommend AA's for your breakfast/lunch dining pleasure.

Yup, it's true. Our old favorite breakfast place for the last 30 years is moving to the old Lou LaBonte's location in Auburn on the frontage road next to Interstate 80, which will be a much bigger restaurant (which would be good for the usual waiting lines). The tip off was a temporary sign on the side of the present... More

Every time we're in Auburn, Awful Annie's is at the top of the list of places to go for breakfast or lunch. This past week we enjoyed another great meal, our only problem being what to order with so many delicious sounding choices. Don't miss it when you're in Auburn!
