Awful Annie's New Location

Awful Annie's has relocated to the north end of town just off Route 80 East at the Foresthill Exit. The new location is much more spacious but has the same awesome food and extensive menu. We love the many choices on their menu--so many it is hard to choose. Don't worry, everything is wonderful!

Our first visit since their move from old town Auburn to the new place at what used to be Lou LaBontes in Auburn. The breakfast, coffee and staff were great.

The breakfast and lunch offerings are wonderful. The overall feeling is for family and friends, not dates. Take your time as the menu is large. Also plan on a pretty good wait especially around 11 AM or weekends. Busy means good!

Recently moved from old town to just of Interstate 80, Awful Annie's continues to offer a great breakfast. The new location is considerably larger, but very well appointed. We stopped here for Eggs Benedict, and came back for lunch - for lunch we had Chili w/cornbread, both outstanding. You will not be disappointed by the family owned restaurant.

There were ten of us getting together for breakfast. The place was packed but we managed to get a table in one of the back rooms. They kept the coffee coming but our food orders took a very long time which was fine as we were all visiting and as I said, the place was packed. I can only imagine... More

The wait was worth it. The food was so good. The parking was a little difficult down town, but the ambiance and the food was worth it.

Under staffed, wait time too long when empty tables are visible. Food just average, coffee horrible. Really a poor experience.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on a weekday between 12:30 and 1:00. This was not the location listed above but the new location on 13460 Lincoln Way in Auburn. The place was filled with people eating and people waiting. We were told the wait for a table was 15-20 minutes. Not wanting to wait that long we... More

Excellent food and great service. Has the ability to accommodate families and larger parties as well. It's a great place to stop if you are going up to Lake Tahoe, it's halfway between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. You won't be disappointed ,from great sandwiches and salads too outrageous breakfast. They have homemade goodies and great unique Mimosas. If it... More

Food was amazing, service was very slow. We got there at 7:45AM on a Tuesday and had to wait until 8:05 to get in. We then didn't get menu's for another 15 min. There were only a few other tables with people, so they definitely were not busy. I'm very disappointed with aweful Annie's since moved locations in Auburn. It... More
