Enjoyed return visit for late breakfast. Usually stop at this location or Lincoln whenever I'm in the area. Like the cozy cottage atmosphere & the delicious varied menu.

Whenever my husband and I are in the Sacramento area or we're on our way to or from Yellowstone National Park, we have breakfast at Awful Annie's. We love the old fashioned atmosphere as well as the fast and friendly service. No matter what you order, the food is memorable. Susan, Cambria CA

Despite its name, Awful Annie's is a local favorite. It is a rustic setting that matches its historic Auburn setting well. The food choices and furnishings are in keeping with the setting. The servers were efficient and patient. There is an outdoor eating aisle available. It overlooks an adjacent paid parking area.

This restaurant, located in the old part of Auburn, is a perfect stoping place between San Francisco and Tahoe. Over the years my family have enjoyed numerous meals at Awful Annie's and we have never been disappointed. The main reason, of course, is eating tasty homemade dishes in a historical context. My husband and I, on the way from Reno... More
