Good food, pretty views

We had a nice lunch (lots to choose from) and the food was good. The server was friendly, pleasant and efficient which always makes a difference. There are pretty views, too bad we are suffering from a drought so not too much is green. Be aware the location is hilly and there are lots of stairs if... read more

Great location, patio, bar, view, and decor...but the food needs some work. I would give the food a two and everything else a four. Hire a chef that can cook and this place could be great.

The thing I like most about Dingus is the patio. It's large and really nice. The bar serves great drinks which taste better on the patio. I took some friends here for lunch one time...we shared a salad and another had a bowl of calm chowder. The salad was good and plenty big to share. My friend said the chowder... More

Had been to Dingus McGee's in Colfax over the years. It closed several years & have just reopened a little east of Auburn. We had the fish & chips and it was not good at all. I think staying with their hamburgers might be better. Great location (where Headquarter House used to be). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice... More

We had a dinner party of 7 with reservations, and even though we were a bit late the restaurant efficiently accommodated us. The menu has a New Orleans cuisine side to it that I did not expect and my Cajun Seafood Pasta dish actually came with a complete crawdad! Very tasty, with Cajun spices. It was a very good meal... The atmosphere and clientele here really makes the experience. All of our group (and there were many sub groups, totally about 25 people in all) enjoyed their entrees and most of us had something different. The bar scene is great, the food is good, but expect a wait sometimes. Worth a stop.

Went today for lunch. This was our first visit, The food and the service were both excellent. The country lodge atmosphere up on a hill is very relaxing. Both meals contained very fresh ingredients and were exceptionally flavorful. We will be back!

Really good food, and has a great atmosphere. Lots of variety to meet most people's desires. A bit off the beaten path, but has an awesome view. Parking can be a bear, but they provide a free shuttle cart to transport you to and from if you are parked in the lower lot. Always busy, so make reservations. Great for... More

This restaurant on a Christmas holiday Sat. night was great. The food and the service excellent. Greeted with a smile by the hostess when we walked in the door. It was very busy with Christmas parties and people just getting out as the rains had finally stopped for a bit. Our server, Bill, was outstanding. Did a great job of... More

I love the rustic feel of the inside. They have a good selection of different steaks and burgers. I had the bistro style steak which was quite flavorful. I tried two of their own craft brews, the pilsner and the double IPA. Although I generally prefer ales, I have to say I liked the pilsner better. My wife's ceasar salad... More
