My husband, friend and I stopped here on the way to Folsom from Reno. My husband's friend suggested we meet him there since he lives in Auburn and it's his go-to restaurant. We popped in for dinner on a Friday night. We parked next to the restaurant which requires a ticket from the parking meter. The parking meter box was... More

Two buddies and I planned a brewery day trip and this was the first of the two we stopped at. We arrived at about 11:30 a.m. after about an hour and fifteen minute drive from out home town. Even though it was raining, old town Auburn was very busy and we had to park about a block away from the... More

My husband, friend and I were one our way to Tahoe in the middle of a raging snowstorm. We were hungry and not too keen on maybe getting stuck on the highway without having had some sustenance. We used Trip Advisor on our smartphones to find a reasonable restaurant and we ended up at the Auburn Ale House! Fabulous! I... More

Went here with the kids and in-laws. Had a great meal of above average bar food. Their beers are well priced and decent quality. The beers they already bottle are all standouts. Great service, great for kids, decent outdoor seating. Will return.

We stopped on our way to Tahoe on a Friday evening with no prior knowledge or recommendations, what a find! We had to wait 30 minutes for a table but well worth it. The menu has a little something for everyone on the food side a the beer was excellent. Since I was driving had to pick up a growler... More

If you are a beer lover, then this is a definite must hit while doing the beer scene in Sacramento. The beer is well crafted, complex, and interesting. The food is better than your standard bar fare, and really quite good. They are definitely working to offer quality. We have been innumerable times (great stop after hiking in the nearby... More

We were visiting friends who took us to the Ale House. It was a weeknight and a bit late but still buzzing. There had been a big street rod cruise in earlier so we just missed the huge crowds. We gorged (and it was great) and enjoyed the beer. All the choices looked great and our hosts said everything was... More

Dinner on the patio was fantastic. The food and service was great. We took our young grandson with us and he had a ball eating the "really long sweet potato fries". My husbands steak was cooked to perfection!!

Fun to see the shiny vats of beer through the glass. I ordered grilled salmon fish tacos. They were very flavorful. One of my girlfriend's ordered the beer batter cod with get fish tacos and another ordered grilled cod tacos. Everyone was very satisfied including the 4" high Reuben sandwiches. Everything was very good including the sweet potato fries. Our... More
