We had a great lunch (fish tacos, delicious hamburger, taco chips, pickle, tortilla soup) for a reasonable price and two of their home brewed stouts. It was a busy restaurant in the heart of Auburn's Old Town but the service was fast and friendly. It is right off the interstate so is convenient to get there. We will be back!

Came here one evening on the way back from a weekend in Truckee and thought we would stop in old town and walk around a bit and noticed this place and looked like it had good reviews and looked busy, always a good sign. I was surprised there was a wait but loved the fact they took your phone number... More

It is very popular, with amazing service. The beer is quite good. We tried the sampler, lots of fun and flavors. The sourdough bread appetizer was SO GOOD!!! Also highly recommend the chili. We found it noisy upon arrival, and promptly forgot it because we enjoyed ourselves so much. Super place, even had live music out on the back patio... More

Just stopped in for couple brews. Tasted sampler, all were excellent beers. Did not eat, but we were sitting next to server station and WOW! Everything looked really good!!! Talked to several locals and they raved about how good the food is. Jambalaya seemed to be a local fave. Will stop next trip for food and brew!

We've patronized this place since it opened. I've never been disappointed and at this point I have tried nearly everything on the menu. The reuben or the sliders are always a great choice. The salads are meals themselves. It's in one of the oldest buildings in Auburn, so I encourage you to review the history they've posted on their webpage... More

Great place to visit because you wish to sample the beers and the bonus is that they have a great menu too. In a unique location- Old Town Auburn- where is fun to walk around and window shop too. There will probably be a wait for a table but it's worth it. Hamburgers, Ahi Tuna, Jambalaya, whatever is on the... More

It was a pretty busy night, so the service was a little slow. They had an awesome selection of beer and the food was very yummy. Ultimately, if I'm being particular, I thought the plates were about $2 more than they should be on average, but you get a fun atmosphere to enjoy everything else. Worth a trip with friends,... More

The Auburn Ale House lists its variety of locally brewed beers with the ABV (alcohol by volume) percentage next to the name. Be forewarned. The 8% ABV Imperial pale ale will give you a kick with just a pint. You wouldn't be the first person to stagger out the door of this establishment. The Auburn Brewery opened for business in... More

Great good and beer as usual. We have always had a great meal and drinks every time we have visited. Only complaint I would have is the noise. Still worth a visit.

Auburn has been the site of two horrific, traffic-jamming accidents that I know of. Fortunately, both were west-bound as I was going east. Today, they even landed a small helicopter on I-80. But I digress. Old Town Auburn is a great tourist trap with many good restaurants that do not disappoint. My favorite is the Auburn Ale House, a micro... More
