old place, nice people, good food, but smelled like an old bar. great pics of how it used to be, great neon, Lou sure loved himself. salad was fresh, other food looked good, a place where yuppies used to go, now they go next door. enjoy Lou's, no surprises good or bad.

My elderly mom wanted to have what she calls 'a good hamburger,' so we went to Lou La Bonte's just up the street from our motel. We got there about 6:00 PM and there were a few customers at the bar and two other tables. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Mom and I both ordered burgers, which were indeed... More

Even though this restaurant didn't have all the lights on outside that it should have, it almost looked closed, we gave it a chance. It is right next to the Best Western Golden Key Hotel that we stayed at and they said it was good - and they were right. While there weren't very many people in the bar/dining room... More

One of the oldest restaurants in the area with ambiance and great food. It is conveniently located just off of I-80 if one is headed toward Tahoe or Reno and a great place to stop if you enjoy karaoke or a dinner show on a Friday night! My family and I have been enjoying this place for at least ten... More

Great throwback to real service, cocktails and great food. Very friendly, established staff and reasunably priced. Very Nostalgic.

Came in with my daughter and best friend for his birthday. I was skeptical because the restaurant looked very old and outdated (it is almost 60 years old) but I was very surprised that the whole meal was so yummy, best food I have eaten in years, I even had bites off the others plates at the table. I will... More

The hotel clerk referred us to this restaurant for dinner. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar for some drinks and grub. We made it just in time for 1/2 price happy hour appetizers and ordered the deep fried artichoke and the nachos. Nachos weren't my favorite, but loved the artichokes and the spicy aioli. We split the prime... More

This restaurant is very dated, relatively unhelpful staff, but the food is solid Italian. A big place with a menu that is quite dated. For an Italian restaurant only three or four pasta dishes.

Two big screens showing sports, big steaks, tasty food. There's even a crime role-play event every Friday night, which we didn't get to see, though.
