My new favorite place

The food is great. We had the curry shrimp burrito and the curry noodles with chicken. Both were fantastic. Who ever thought of a thai burrito? But it works in a big way. The atmosphere is very nice. You would never think you were a stones throw from the freeway. I would have given 5 stars... read more

This place was recommended by a family member. We went although the reviews weren't that good as of late. We should have listened to the reviews. The service was terrible! The food was alright. One person in our party ordered fish and it was undercooked. Waitress was lazy, and not very friendly. Didn't seem like she wanted to be there.

I have been to Joe Caribe's for the fish tacos more times than I can count. They're always good - it's the island slaw that makes it better than other fish tacos I've had. While I'm not usually a bread pudding fan, theirs is yummy. Not too gooey with just enough sweetness to finish the meal.

Very inconsistent service. Usually ordered soup and shrimp tacos. Sometimes the soup was just slopped on the table in the middle. Once the "waiter" had his headphones on while he served us. Couldn't hear or refused to acknowledge he heard. Once there was wax paper in my taco. That was a shock

Like the title says- Good prices, large portions, and friendly staff. All backed by delicious food. I will definitely be revisiting Joe Caribe's next time I am in Auburn.

Whenever Hubby used to say, "Where would you like to eat?" I would say "Joe Caribes" before he could finish his sentence. Those days are now gone! The past four visits have been mediocre at best. I say past four visits because I loved the food so much that I kept going back in hopes that the lack of service... More

This restaurant has been in Auburn for years, but this was the first time we've eaten there. My husband was particularly curious about their fish tacos. We waited to be seated, waited to give our order, and when the server finally made it to our table, she was distracted and acted like she was not interested in being there (she... More

My family of 3 eat here last weekend when Ikedas, just down the street, was too packed. I read all the good reviews online & was excited to perhaps stumble on a lesser-known secret spot. We ordered chips & guac, a pork burrito, fish tacos & a kid's burrito. Every item was mediocre - no better than you'd get at... More

I ordered the chicken sweet potato burrito to go. This item was on the menu and it only said that it had the chicken and sweet potatoes in it. When I opened it up and took the first bite, I was very disappointed. There was rice, beans and coleslaw in it. All I can say is yuck!

This was our first time here. The place is very lively and kind of loud but that made it fun. There was a wait so we sat at the counter for dinner. I had the pork ribs and they were fall off the bone amazing. The fish tacos delicious with a cabbage slaw. I recommend stopping here to give it... More
