Primarily a bakery and lunch spot, Hush-Harbor may just be the best restaurant in Atascadero. As the spouse of a world class baker, I can say with complete confidence that their baked goods are amazing. My wife was doubly impressed today, but she has only sampled their food once since moving here. I've had lunch several times there and each... More

Baguette and multigrain wheat breads were crusty and fresh. The only tuna sandwich is a hot tuna melt with pesto, which is tasty but a bit of a surprise. Some staff were friendly, but the cashier was a little abrupt. Service was fast. Potato salad was full of cheap sweet pickle juice--yuck. Fruit side was mostly fresh--melon, strawberry and orange... My family and I came here and were in hopes of a nice lunch or pastry. Bad choice ! They were rude from the start. We sat down and papers were placed under us (very rude) all the staff here was awful. My sister began to eat her pastry and found a hair in it, my daughter ordered a sandwich... More

This little gem bakes the most delicious bread I've had anywhere. I travel often to the Central Coast and never miss a chance to enjoy a delicious and interesting sandwich or pick up bread to take home. Easy on and off Hwy 101.

They make wonderful sandwiches on their delicious bread. Pleasant, cozy dining room. And many tempting pastries and pies. The owners are into jazz and it shows in the decor.

From the moment you step in the restaurant you are hooked with the heavenly smell of fresh baked breads. Yummy sandwiches and fresh salads for lunch and finish it off with a decadent dessert. :)

Hush Harbor makes the best quiche I've ever had in my life. Their sandwiches for lunch & their desserts are excellent too. The quality of the food here is off the charts great. I just wish they served dinner too!

This is a really unusual establishment. The sandwiches are terrific and the breads and desserts are wonderful. But the atmosphere is what makes it so special. A great old jazz motif, complete with a piano that has definitely seen some good times. Everyone is very friendly and it's pretty much guaranteed that if you live in Atascadero you'll see some... Don't bother going here for bread unless you are ordering wholesale, e.g. 50 loaves for your restaurant. They don't seem to care enough to bake for individuals that stop in, even early in the morning, and just want 1-2 loaves. Their "restaurant" food is average. I don't think the people in this area have experienced really good artisan, or even... More
