Definitely the local breakfast joint. Like Cheers, everyone knows your name. We met a classmate for food and business. Friendly service, food comes right away and special orders no problem. Our friend will only eat charred toast and that's what he got. If I lived here, I'd like that you know everybody. It really did used to be the bus... More

This little gem has great, reasonably priced breakfasts. Try the Popeye omelette---ground beef, fresh spinach, and cheese. But everything I've tried is great!

We visited this restaurant after reading all the great reviews on TripAdvisor. I highly recommend this quaint little restaurant for breakfast. The food was excellent, the service was good. We went at 11:30 and avoided all the long lines, were able to sit right down. We will be returning to this restaurant whenever we are in the area.

Great local spot for breakfast. Good breakfast at a fair price. The Arroyo Grande Village Cafe has been a local hang out for ages...A history ...of Characters show up..Friendly atmosphere with Character...Characters...A one time area of ranchers which has succumbed to development and remodeled older homes...The village of Arroyo a great quick stop with a breakfast at the Village Cafe... The café is only open for breakfast and lunch. I enjoy breakfast of eggs, sausage, hash browns and coffee. You won't find this meal better anywhere else. The café is small, 7 booths and several tables, but it is worth the wait if you come during their busy period.

Small old town feel with great breakfast and great service. Get there early because the lines to get a table get long.

You feel like you've stepped back into the 50's at the Village Cafe. The food is very basic--burgers, shakes, fries, etc, but the food is very tasty. We especially like the Jalapeno Chicken sandwiches, but the burgers are good too. The onion rings and fries are a must with the sandwiches. There is outdoor seating which is fun on a... More

My family was in town for a reunion, and went here twice for breakfast. Between the 8 of us, we tried a lot of the options, and all were satisfied with our choices. The service was great both times, and the place has a good local vibe.

A. Cozy cafe where the local's hang out. Large portions, great value & a cozy small town vibe. Three of us stopped in for breakfast. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast. I tried the homemade corned beef (I'd pass on this next time.) It was ground and formed into a pattie. I prefer it shredded & cooked with diced potatoes. My... More

Had a great breakfast at The Village Cafe. Was looking for a place to have breakfast and decided on here after seeing some good reviews on-line. My daughter had a bacon omlette and my wife the french toast. I had the chile verde omlette. (I had asked about the corned beef hash so the waitress brought me a small sample... More
