Conveniently located near the north access back on to 101 this place is a gem The food is fresh and locally sourced, the staff were very knowledgable about vegan food and I had breakfast there on 2 occasions, both times I had variations of the tofu scramble, huge amount of tofu as opposed to the usual few chunks hiding away... We had to stop at Arcata for lunch break and quick check on net for vegan restaurants on net showed up this and we were glad we chose this place. It is a small place but well kept. The guys who runs the place were friendly. We were seated and attended immediately. I ordered dragon bowl and hubby ordered tempeh... More

If you're vegetarian and looking for a place to eat in Arcata, you'll have several options. But Wildflower is the classic w flashback 70s hippies atmosphere. Coming here feels a bit like coming home, with a number of great vegie food options. If you haven't visited yet... You really should.

I would start by saying that I would have given this restaurant an Excellent rating, (my meal and my wife's were delicious), but my children did not care for their Vegetarian meals. They said that it was too spicy....and I took a taste and would have to agree that their food was probably a little too spicy for a child's... More

We had a late breakfast and loved it. My husband had biscuits and gravy, which were vegan, (but he said it tasted very much like real sausage gravy). I don't remember the name of my dish, but it was roasted potatoes covered in steamed vegetables; it may not sound like much, but it was beautiful to look at and absolutely... More

Stopped here for a loaf of bread. Bought three. Each was even better than the previous one. A must if you are in the area. Expect a line but it moves quickly. Try the samples and you will also buy several loaves.

We came here on the recommendation from our hotel and we were happy we did! A nice dining experience in a little restaurant near Humboldt State University. Street parking only, which in a heavy downpour was a little daunting, but did not deter us. The service was great and pleasantly accommodating to our dietary restrictions, which was very appreciated. If... More

I started with the green salad with herb vinegar dressing......they make it in house and it's loaded with dill. It was one of the best dressings I've ever had. Really wanted to take some home, but it has to be refrigerated. The greens were so fresh.....all locally grown. For my entrée, I had a peanut Thai noodle dish. Delicious!!!! We... More

First, let's talk about the food: the vegan biscuits and gravy was pretty good, but not the best vegan biscuits and gravy I have had on this trip. It was also the most expensive. The biscuits were pretty good but the gravy was kind of not interesting - but the tofu sausage (made locally!) was incredibly flavorful and delicious and... More
