This used to be the hippest, best place for bites or dinner in Arcata. I went last nite and we were all very disappointed. The menu, which used to have more and tastier options was sorely limited and none of our party was excited by it. However the food was worse, overpriced, tasteless and greasy. There was nothing new or... More

I understand this restaurant was first started by philosophy students at Humbolt state as a kind of co-op. It has that coffee house vibe to it. Crowded and a little noisy at 7 at night. The service is quick and attentive. They have a nice selection of beer on tap. I order the chicken satay, skewered peanut spiced chicken over... More

Really great chicken satay over salad greens. The nightly special salmon was cooked to perfect mid-rare with nice sear on the skin. Dessert with Boujie Baking Caramel sauce (on anything really) is not to be missed. It was served with local chocolate ice cream and glazed almonds with a touch of sea salt. The warm caramel sauce on the side... More

The specialty of the house, the mac n cheese, was horrible. After taking 3 bites I had to excuse myself to the bathroom, and on my way back I noticed in the kitchen why my dish was so terrible. Prior to being served, the pasta is sitting in a frying pan in the sauce coagulating. The pasta was WAY overcooked,... More

My wife and I literally left this restaurant an hour ago, and I had to share my review as soon as I could. We had super high hopes for this place, the reviews and menu just begged us to try it. We were ridiculously disappointed with the service, but even more so the food. I ordered the stir fry with... More

This place has the funky fun atmosphere one would expect from Arcata. The menu is crazy and silly with fun names like "cup runneth over" for an appetizer of curried cashews, and uber mac as perhaps an entree. The menu is "Eenie" "Meenie" "Miney" and "Mo". The food is insanely good with the uber mac being perhaps the best offering... More

We were two couples passing through Arcata heading north along the coast to view the redwoods. We decided to try this restaurant as it was close by and had good reviews. We ordered the chicken satay, salads, and tacos and found them to be okay. The place was lively and busy, so it took a while to get our food.... More

3 Foods really hit it on the head on multiple levels. The food was amazing.. Close your eyes good. We got the Mac n cheese and it was such a creative dish, with apple slices, vegetables, nuts and more. The baked Brie, also, was phenomenal. All at reasonable prices and healthy serving sizes. The servers were also friendly. Most importantly,... More

Interesting menu with local sourcing. Eenie, Meenie, Miney & Mo (starters - desserts) "cup runneth over" - toasted curry cashews as a starter... main course was "harold and kumar" two mini grass-fed beef burgers mixed with bleu cheese in the patties (wonderful!) bacon, garlicy aioli and spring greens, "drunken bear" - decadent chevre cheese cake drizzled with a blackberry wine... Favorite meal we had out during my 2 week trip around Northern California! Loved the chilled out, eclectic/rustic feel to the place and the food is amazing. Live music was a nice surprise. Definitely recommend the 'Dark and Gruesome Salad'!
