This was the most creative use of local ingrediants I've had in a long time. Wonderful, varied menu with subtle seasonings and fun combinations. Try the Carmel used dates, walnuts, and local soft cheese to start (or finish) your experience

My first visit here. While Traveling and looking for a dinner place , my husband found this website. The decor is warm and inviting . I loved the fire break wood wall, a left over of a former business. The food was exceptionally good. Portions were more than adequate and not a complaint to be experienced. I recommend this to... I'm not sure why but there were 3 waitresses or hostess when we arrived at 3 foods and all 3 of them looked at my family like they had no idea how to handle a party of 5 or kids...all three ladies were dry to put it nicely. When asked about a particular item on the menu she was clueless... More

went here on a recommendation of a friend. Nice, organic, fresh food, locally grown atmosphere. The place also has a nice outdoor garden patio with nice flowers growing. Inside you can see the kitchen crew working hard. I had the dinner salad and fried chicken & waffles dinner. They were both delicious, fresh and nicely presented. Will return!

This used to be the hippest, best place for bites or dinner in Arcata. I went last nite and we were all very disappointed. The menu, which used to have more and tastier options was sorely limited and none of our party was excited by it. However the food was worse, overpriced, tasteless and greasy. There was nothing new or... More

I understand this restaurant was first started by philosophy students at Humbolt state as a kind of co-op. It has that coffee house vibe to it. Crowded and a little noisy at 7 at night. The service is quick and attentive. They have a nice selection of beer on tap. I order the chicken satay, skewered peanut spiced chicken over... More

Really great chicken satay over salad greens. The nightly special salmon was cooked to perfect mid-rare with nice sear on the skin. Dessert with Boujie Baking Caramel sauce (on anything really) is not to be missed. It was served with local chocolate ice cream and glazed almonds with a touch of sea salt. The warm caramel sauce on the side... More

The specialty of the house, the mac n cheese, was horrible. After taking 3 bites I had to excuse myself to the bathroom, and on my way back I noticed in the kitchen why my dish was so terrible. Prior to being served, the pasta is sitting in a frying pan in the sauce coagulating. The pasta was WAY overcooked,... More

My wife and I literally left this restaurant an hour ago, and I had to share my review as soon as I could. We had super high hopes for this place, the reviews and menu just begged us to try it. We were ridiculously disappointed with the service, but even more so the food. I ordered the stir fry with... More

This place has the funky fun atmosphere one would expect from Arcata. The menu is crazy and silly with fun names like "cup runneth over" for an appetizer of curried cashews, and uber mac as perhaps an entree. The menu is "Eenie" "Meenie" "Miney" and "Mo". The food is insanely good with the uber mac being perhaps the best offering... More
