Great to have them near Los Angeles

I am a keen fan of this amazing eating place. We often visit Singapore where they have of few of these, always packed and offering an exceptionally fresh and tasting range of dim sum and other delicious Chinese food.

Well, let me start by saying that this is the world-famous dumpling place that you have heard about, with branches around the world. Excellent dumplings, needless to say. However, I won't wait in line for 45 to 60 minutes for ANY restaurant, so I won't be back.

Anthony Bourdain described eating at the original Taiwan branch of this incredible dumpling house chain as "a deeply religious experience." Without a doubt, this is finest dumpling house I've ever experienced. Dumplings are not dim sum, so please keep that in mind. Every dumpling bite is perfectly formed and flavored. In addition to the dumplings, the Shanghai rice cakes are... More

It's dumpling magic! Soup dumplings served fresh and hot in their steamers, with ginger and dipping vinegar. Have a side of bok choi, and you are in heaven (and you can even get a pat on the back from your doctor!). Service is courteous and very efficient. Dont miss the red bean desert dumplings too

I was late to this game mostly because of the hype, but I'm a sucker for good dumplings and hate not to be in the know. I actually went on a Saturday when lines are smaller, and did takeout. It was a breeze. The pork soup dumplings were super yummy with the ginger soy, though as I'd been told, they're... More

My wife was skeptical at first but left speechless well we both did. The braised beef noodle soup was Truly one of my top 5 in my 39 years of existence I kid you not. Service was superb. Dumplings of course are what they're famous for I can almost assure you everything there is great. If you are a skeptic... More

We got there 15 minutes before opening and there was already a line! So if you're planning to go, please allow yourself some time to get there in advance. The food here is decent, but not the best Shanghai dumplings, but the soup inside the dumpling is very flavorful. As for the rest of the food, Wood ear, Shiu Mai,... More

Really delicious dumplings. So freshly made and tasty! The service was great. Too bad the wait was so long but with a place this good it's bound to be busy all the time. So worth the wait. Definitely a must do in the SGV!

Food quality is very good with a high level of clientele this place is generally always busy. I was fortunate to visit the Din Tai Fung in Taipei and the food there was top notch, so that was the yardstick to measure against. Highly recommend but make reservations or you will have to wait.
