Dinner

We eat here about once per month. Sometimes very Average, sometimes very good. Tonite was very good. The Pizza Abruzze was superb - one of the best we've had anywhere. Very reminiscent Tuscany. The fish, wine, bread and Kyle our waiter were first class! Excellent!

Watch out for the Chocolate deserts! Very Dangerous. Great atmosphere, a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday or romantic date.

Convenient location, friendly staff, very good food, reasonable prices. Service sometimes slow, high noise level indoors when room is full.

We went for a nice dinner waited 10 min. not one waiter or waitress stopped to offer us water or a menu. they just walked by. When I tried to hail a waitress she looked at me and said what? Before I could ask her she turned her back on me and walked away.We were disappointed in this place, in... More

Ate lunch at the Bittersweet Bistro Cafe- the smaller version of Bittersweet Bistro Restaurant that is open for breakfast & lunch. Nice day so we opted for patio. Delicious Asian Chicken salad with mango dressing. Just enough dressing to lightly coat. Friend had Panko crusted chicken sandwich on ciabata roll which was also very good. Note- Patio dog friendly with... More

Great ambience for a celebratory dinner. However you must adore garlic to appreciate the food. If you attend the Gilroy Garlic Festival every year without fail, this is your go-to dining experience. Every item on the menu (except the hamburger) is richly cooked with garlic. Every entrée, every vegetable and all potatoes are flavored or drenched in garlic. I appreciate... More

Had heard good things about this place and wanted to be wowed. Seated promptly for our reservation but found the heavy drapes intrusive on our two top table. It felt very crowded. We started with the baked Brie with mushroom duxelles. The wine list was extensive and pricey. We were disappointed in the lack of local choices- we like restaurants... More

For our anniversary we decided to return to Bittersweet Bistro, which we'd been to many years ago. We were prepared for the rather high prices but based on the wide range of menu choices as noted online, we knew we'd be able to choose something to fit both our budget and our appetite. The wine list was presented on an... More

We've had brunch or lunch here several times and it's always great. They have a wild mushroom dish that I love, and they get rave reviews for their grilled cheese sandwiches - above and beyond your everyday version. It's the best place around for eating out on a sunny day.

Over-rated and underachieved menu. Owner needs to work on inspiring the kitchen staff. Atmosphere is phony.
