I hadn't been back to Au Midi for several years, even though the cuisine had been terrific. At the time I wondered how this out of the way place with a name that is unpronounceable to most Americans would survive. Well, survive it has and the food is still superb. We started dinner with a sublime soup of allium (was... More

The food is good. The service has been good when I have been in for dinner. The meals well-represent the chef's origins and style preference. I filled in as a runner on 2 occasions and saw the service from the back of the house. It is clean, well managed, fair, precise and runs smoothly. Husband / Wife team. She is... More

Au Midi offers a somewhat brief but exceptional menu of French first courses and entrees. Portions are modest, using, fresh, local ingredients presented as edible works of art! We started with orders of soup, warm garden salad (leeks, cauliflower, chickpea, peanuts, lemon confit), and jellied gaspaccio. For entrees we selected stuffed cabbage (kale, shiitake, risotto, black rice), ling cod in... More

Our anniversary was the day after Labor Day. Expecting a quiet crowd, they did a great job handling all the guests in a restaurant with over half the tables filled. They had one of the owners handling everything out front for the guests. Not expecting to be fast pace and it is a restaurant you want to enjoy your food,... More

I ate here on a groupon, and the food was fantastic!! It was one of the best meals I have had at a restaurant in a long time. In fact, I recently went to France and has some excellent French food, and this restaurant definitely measures up. We plan to come back for our anniversary.

The small menu may surprise you. But when everything is fresh and delicious, having fewer choices is a good thing. Delightful ambiance with great service and fabulous food. Try it!

Seriously, pure snobbery or sexism must be the reason that the Michelin Guide hasn't yet starred this woman chef in a cafe tucked in the literal corner of a small shopping center. Walk through its unassuming doorway into the best of Provence without the expense of airplane fare. It's half the price of similar big-city eateries, too, so my fellow... More

A French Bistro with American attitude. We joined family here for our annual dinner night out. We enjoyed appetizers and I had an excellently prepared halibut. We also ordered the Duck. By far the tastiest dish was the beef stew. We all dipped our bread into the sauce. The apple tart was also excellent and they brought us our coffee... More

This restaurant has wonderful French food. the menu is not extensive but each choice is thoughtfully selected and prepared perfectly. The strip mall where it is located has little ambience, but they have done a good job of the interior.
