Fabulous

we enjoyed a fabulous meal with an excellent Bordeaux. Service is always spot on. I had the salmon with an incredible sauce. My wife had a rich stew that she raved about. Definitely a five star meal

This restaurant - tucked away in a small shopping center - is a gem - friendly, comfortable in a neighborhood setting with excellent food. The chef is French, and she takes enormous pride in the quality and presentation of her dishes. The menu choices are approachable, delicious, and filled with favorites. Check the daily menu to see what she has chosen... More

The food is always excellent. The service is attentive. It is worth a trip for the creamy onion soup alone. Don't miss it.

I used to love to go to a local French restaurant as a kid on the border outside Geneva, Switzerland. There were copper pots and wild boar heads on the walls and frog legs and snails on the menu. You can bring a French chef to California, but for practical reasons I suppose, the copper pots, the boar heads and... More

The menu was very creative and the restaurant had a large list of domestic and French wines. Food delicious; though helpings small we felt very satisfied at the end of the meal. Leave room for excellent desserts and dessert wines.

Our dinner was excellent. Very authentic French food and presented beautifully. The owner, who is from France, welcomed us and gave us information on menu items. Very attentive service. The soup de jour was a creamy onion with shredded basil and basil oil. I had the Duck Magret, a thinly sliced duck breast in a honey and rosemary sauce with... More

The very best food every in Santa Cruz County. Excellent quality, exquisite flavors, beautiful presentation at affordable prices. I choose the Soup De jut and was immediately in love with this place as the Cauliflower soup was complex and delicious (I usually do not even like cauliflower). Next the Maple Duck (my french is too poor to try real name)... More

We have been going to Au Midi since they opened, and they have consistently excellent food and service. One of our family favorites to share are Mue's mussels--her family recipe is the best we've ever had, and be sure and ask for more bread to sop it up. I always love whatever she does with beef, and my husband goes... More

The menu is short, but diverse. The selection is traditional bistro fare, with a little bit from all four corners of France. I started with the Veal Sweetbread, marinated with cherry vinegar and soy sauce and served with an incredible herb sauce (I used all of my bread to soak up the sauce) ...perfection! My wife started with the Braised... More

We were welcomed by a warm and friendly hostess. Seated immediately. The courses were excellent, well-timed and just the correct portions so that we could have dessert and coffee. The owners and staff were friendly and kind to everyone at the restaurant, which made you feel good while eating good food. If I have to pay a lot of money... More
