Excellent Restaurant

Situated next to the Worldmark Angels Camp facility this is a 1st class watering hole serving up wonderful food and wines in a lovely environment; - if you are looking for a top end restaurant in the area we can certainly recommend Camps restaurant - was the best dinner we had all week.

We enjoyed both the food and ambience of the dining patio. The service was friendly and good. Between the three of us, we had lemon pasta with shrimp, prime rib and scallop risotto. Would definitely return here if back in the area.

After reading the reviews we expected higher quality food, especially considering the prices. The highly touted hamburger was overcooked and the salmon in the salmon burger was not fresh, but it's salsa sauce was very good. The spring rolls were not spring rolls but heavy deep-fried wraps. The worst thing about the meal was the Ceasar salad: very over dressed... More

We celebrated my birthday dinner here and it was a big disappointment. Although the restaurant is very nicely appointed, the food left much to be desired. I started my meal with carpaccio-I could hardly find the beef, there were no decent slices, rather 4 or 5 little quarter-sized bites of beef. The onion soup was tasty soup, but not onion,... More

We had dinner there to celebrate my birthday. We both ordered the rib-eye steak for our dinners, mine was ordered medium rare . The outside steak was burnt to charcoal and was inedible. They did not charge us for our dinners when we complained, but my birthday celebration was ruined, We live in Greenhorn Creek and have dined there other... More

Camps is an upscale restaurant located on the golf course in Greenhorn Estates in the lovely little town of Angels Camp, CA located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Angels Camp was made famous by the wonderful writer Mark Twain, with his story of "The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County". The food at Camps is all it says... More

Enjoyed a nice lunch while passing through Angels Camp. The food was very good and the server was pleasant. We shared the french dip and it was VERY good! The split pea soup could have been a bit more flavorful, but if was okay. It is a little pricy, but you have to consider your view...it is lovely and relaxing!

I am a local author who was a participant in a 'book launch' event and at Camps Restaurant with a group to sell my books. We had been advised that it was a 'no host' lunch and to make our own reservations. When we sat down at the reserved table we had only a fixed price menu with two types... More

Amy and Matt make a killer perfect Manhattan and they have lots of local wines. Food is always great - nice lunch menu and very tasty appetizers, salads, soups and entrees for dinner. Be sure to save room for Sherri's coconut cream pie. Staff is friendly, nice and very attentive. Love the view overlooking the 18th green at Greenhorn Creek.

I played golf at Greenhorn Golf Course and before the round had their limited menu breakfast. It was $10 and well worth the price. Following golf I returned for dinner and again was very pleased. I had the Prime Rib and it was prepared just right. The restaurant and bar are very nice with outstanding views...and good service. If you... More
