Characters make the meal. That and the giant buffet.

A great choice for eating with children. Very many choices at the buffet. Like all Disney eateries they value their selections. Worth the cost for the happy atmosphere.

I had no idea this was even there! I may have read about it, then dismissed it since the restaurant is inside the Grand Californian Hotel. A former cast member called it the best kept secret at the Disneyland Resort. He was right. This is an all you can eat buffet that includes characters. The buffet was over the top... More

On a warm, busy night at Disney's California Adventure, we were struggling to find a place where our party of 8 could have a nice, relaxing dinner before heading back into the park for more. We sort of stumbled across the Storyteller's Cafe on our way back into the park using the hotel as a short cut. They were able... More

We have gone to Goofy's Kitchen every year for the past 10 years. A friend told us about Storyteller's Cafe and what a great they had interacting with the characters and how you would see some characters you usually don't see. On 1/21/2016 for my niece's birthday, we went to Storyteller's. What a disappointment in both the food and character... More

we scored same day dinner reservations! That's cuz they don't have the characters at dinnertime, which is good, rather not have them bugging me while i eat! We have had both the buffet and also ordered from the menu and although the buffet is really good, we shouldn't be consuming so much food, so we opt for selections on the... More

Food was excellent for breakfast. Not many Characters visit the tables, We only had 4 and that included some lessor known ones. It is priced pretty high. If you want characters I would try others if you are more interested in eating then this may be your place

On our arrival, we stepped in for the dinner buffet. I was not disappointed. An outstanding buffet with great food. Still shocked as I usually expect a Golden Corral-like experience, which is why I don't do buffets. Was awesome! The character breakfast was not the same. Three characters (Chip, Dale, and some raccoon) and not a good breakfast. Eggs....GROSS. Pretty... More

Typically I would not choose this restaurant, but when staying at the Grand Californian, it is certainly convenient. Lunch menu did not provide much range or choice, but the food was tasty. We went for breakfast buffet and were certainly pleased by the breakfast buffet choices, but taken aback by the price ($30 per person). Our bad--did not realize it... More

I went here for Christmas dinner and it definitely isn't cheap. With the prices and the fact that it was Christmas, I expected a nice dinner but instead it was just average. Options were pretty limited, desserts pretty bland, and the meats proved to be the best tasting so definitely get the turkey and/or beef. Also several items were in... More
