We were staying at the Grand Californian Hotel. Over $500 a night for standard room. The Storytellers Cafe is on site and look like a great place to continue the magical experience of Disneyland. We arrived towards the end of the lunch service. I ordered a Turkey Club. Chips were COLD on the plate. Toasted sandwich was COLD too. Who... More

My family did all five character meals (two premium and three regular). Food wise Storyteller’s Café, PCH Grill and Plaza Inn all have the same food. The only real difference is what characters may be there any given day. The food was okay, but the characters are what made the meal. Do your research and pick which characters you want... More

I was part of a party of 26 people and this was out choice for dinner. Even though we had a scheduled dinner time we were seated about a half hour later, however, you must remember that it was Thanksgiving and people tend to sit and relax. Our waiter was amazing!! He attending to our every need and then some.... More

Quality of food was pretty good for a buffet. They had a great omelette station, plus fruits, pastries, bagels & lox, Mickey waffles & pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and cereals. Bears, Chip and Dale and some other woodland characters come by your table for photos. My 6-year-old enjoyed it!

I've stayed at all three resort hotels. And tried the character breakfast at the hotels. I can't give high enough marks for Storyteller Cafe. The food is great like the other hotels. But the characters at Storyteller far out shine the other hotels. They are much more interactive with all the customers. They will stop at your table every time... More

The food here is great however the menu is limited. The breakfast is buffet only and choices are good. We have dined here several times and have noticed at lunch the wait staff is very slow. The dinner buffet is very good.

If you know Disney you already know this experience caters to the family, on the go, with small children. They're set up for high volume guest turnover. The Storyteller's Cafe is a Disney property, attached to the Grand Californian, outside the SoCal parks, within easy walking distance from Downtown Disney You're only "a guest" here, you're certainly not the *special... everyone has their own opinion and this is my opinion on the Storyteller's cafe in the grand californian CA. I must start with the superb service of the wait staff. We checked in for our reservation two mornings in a row and were seated immediately and greeted by name. These gentlemen came to our table and provided the waters, Orange... More

It's a buffet style breakfast. Nothing too fancy. The kids get to dance around with characters and of course take pictures. Chip N Dale were the most famous characters at our breakfast.
