Expect to wait on weekends

I've been coming here for years, probably over 20 years, and cannot believe I never wrote a review. Quite honestly this is not my favorite OPH. Its a small restaurant, terrible parking, and extremely crowded on weekends. I don't even get their pancakes, but their Belgian Waffles. So why do I... read more

I’ve been a fan of the Original Pancake House (OPH) for a long time, and have been going more frequently in the last couple of years because my girlfriend is a fan, too, especially of their potato pancakes and thick-cut bacon. I recently visited this location in Anaheim for the first time, and it turned out to be the oldest... More

We stopped in for breakfast before heading to Disneyland. The apple pancakes kept me going all day and well into the night. Nice large portions, I couldn't even eat it all, and I'm a 6' male. The rest of the family had eggs, bacon, different pancakes and a crepe. None of us finished our meal. Prices very reasonable.

Solid old fashioned place for pancakes, eggs, and so on with moderate prices. Loved the greasy skillet with eggs, ground beef, and melted swiss.

Wanted something away from the touristy center of Anaheim and found this gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff was friendly and super efficient. This is a busy place, so expect a wait, but it will be well worth it!

The Original is a great choice for breakfast with good food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. It's popular with locals and tourists alike, so get there early or be prepared to wait.

Went with 9 other's and was accommodated rather quickly for such a large group including one in a wheelchair. The food was so very good! If I lived near here, this would be my breakfast spot every Sunday. The food is wonderful. Everyone got something different and I can't remember all 10 dishes, but everyone of them were wonderful. The... More

I have so many favorite dishes here at the Orig. Pancake House. The biscuits & gravy is the best I've ever had, so flavorful. Yummy potato pancakes and the Swedish pancakes are thin with tangy lingonberry jam. I have eaten there for many years and never anything but excellent food and service.

I love this place. Granted, it is really close to home so I can't beat the convenience, but more importantly they make the best breakfast! Be warned though - they serve large portions - so be prepared to eat a lot. If I have one criticism it is the fact that it is so popular that it is always crowded,... More

The ambiance sets the tone. Not in your typical chain box style, this Pancake House is still in the Original home. Lines are long and justified since there aren't too many great, greasy spoon establishments in the tourist heavy town of Anaheim. We've tried the Oatmeal and of course the pancakes. Tons of flavor! Friendly staff. Just try to get... More
