Yes this is a tiki bar. yes this is tiny and gets crowded/full quickly. But it's so much fun. Everyone was enjoying the atmosphere including the staff. it's so nice to go out and see staff having a good time too! didn't try the food but the drinks were good - very strong. but good. love the... read more

On our recent visit to Disneyland, I decided on our first night, since the park closed at 8pm, that we should finally check out Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel. I have heard mixed reviews, but I always like to see for myself. First, the entrance to the bar itself is on the back half of the building, the front... More

Go here if you want some decent food (like the cheeseburger, shrimp tacos, or green bean appetizer) but do not expect much in the way of service. Sometimes they take a while to get to you, or ignore you completely (like in the bar). But sitting outside by the torches while we waited for our to-go order was nice. And... More

Might be great, but it's laughably small. So small that you probably won't get in. You could sit outside, but that defeats the purpose since there's zero theming or atmosphere there. With only a handful of seats, and no apparent effort by the staff to turnover the tables, it's hard to recommend. If you're staying at the hotel, sure, stop... More

Went for drinks our last night. They were super powerful. Next time, I'd just get a glass of wine! Didn't try any of the munchies but they looked good on other tables. Plus was the Hawaiian band playing. Took us back to our many Hawaii trips. Wish we could have stayed longer but had a super early departure and needed... More

I went here twice in one weekend- both times were for drinks only. We sat outside both times. The tiki theme is great- and the drinks are rather strong. Service wa great the first trip. The second one- we had three servers check on us- but once warhead our drinks- we did not see them again. The Mai Tai was... More

We stopped in at opening for a light lunch before heading to the movies. The atmosphere is so much fun and it's a blast to order some of the signature drinks. We ordered an Uh-Oa and got the standard treatment from all of the cast members. And while only chocolate milk for the kids, they supposedly have the best bendy... More

This is by far our favorite bar in the entire world! We love anything tiki and this is true tiki at it's finest. It's on Disneyland Hotel property and probably only holds 40 people but that's the beauty of it. The drinks are all amazing and certain drinks come with a show! We collect all the mugs too! The food... More

We visited in December, and while I had been hoping for weeks to try the holiday drinks, I forgot and they weren't advertised on the menu. I didn't realize this til after we had left. The flatbreads are so good, especially the bbq pork. The drinks are strong (as they should be) and are authentic tiki drinks. We completed our... More

I love the atmosphere here but getting a table outdoors can be a problem unless you are patient to hit it at off hours (not 4-8). Indoors its a little easier to get a bar seat but the noise level can be deafening. Younger over 21 folks will love it. 50+ you may be a little annoyed. Drinks are around... More
