ALOHA HOUR WONDERFUL

Walked here from the Anaheim Hilton and sat in the lounge for a drink and appetizer. Aloha "Happy Hour" going on. Ordered a Mai Tai from the specially priced AH menu. $7.00. They also have a couple of offerings from Maui or Kona Brewing company, forget which. Surfboard lager for $3.00. Great... read more

Every Roy's is different and is themed after the cuisine specialty of the head chef. This location is leaning toward Hawaiian influences. We ate at Roy's as part of a large party in a private room. This resulted in a limited menu, but all the options were tempting. The specialty dish at Roy's is the butterfish - so, I had... More

Roys has figured it out. They cater to adults and kids, with good service. They have interesting food that is well explained. My husband loved the barrel aged cocktail. I loved the fact that although my daughter ordered an adult meal she received the children's appetizer plate with a quesadilla and vegetables and dip. My son loved the fact that... More

We made reservations in advance, and we didn’t have to wait long before we were seated. We’ve eaten at Roy’s restaurants in Maui and the Big Island, and we were looking forward to eating here. The décor/ambiance is different from those in Hawaii – darker and more formal. The food was good, and our usual favorites (butterfish, short ribs, chocolate... More

Some people complain about the wait but the solution is to make a reservation. I recommend an early reservation (6) to beat the crowds. Food: two of the best dishes in our group were the scallops and the combo plate (famous butter fish plus ribs). Food was delicious. Drink: probably the best part because the Hawaiian martini and the Mai... More

I visited this restaurant with a large group while on business. The scallops were incredible and every one I was with felt the same about their food. The shrimp salad was also very good. The service was exceptional.

We had a large business dinner here, and I was impressed with the service. The beef fillet was cooked perfectly medium rare, and was tender and tasty. The appetizers were also excellent. The chocolate cake - like dessert was too dry (I didn't order it, but at some). A very easy walk from the convention area hotels.

I was turned down at a couple of restaurants for takeout, but Roys obliged for me. They were quite busy, but very nice. I ordered a delicious sushi appetizer that was filling and enjoyable. I was happy to relax and have it in my hotel after a long day walking Expo West. I was impressed overall with my whole experience... More
