We visit the gold country several times a year and have always enjoyed dinner at the Imperial. This time we decided to try brunch. I ordered Eggs Benedict and found myself with a very small, dried up muffin, an o.k. egg but the bright yellow sauce was skimpy and not all that good. My companions were not that impressed with... What an interesting place. We booked time for the post-weekend crowd and were very pleased. We needed peace and quiet and that's what we got. The room very clean and well furnished and had a balcony overlooking the 'down town' and provided us a place to hang out. With No TV, phone or other distractions, it provided a good respite.... Great food, atmosphere and service. Will definitely return when in the area. Just a short scenic drive from home base (Amador Harvest Inn in Plymouth) and well worth it. Enjoy!!

I love this place, quiet atmosphere, high ceilings in a renovated gold rush building. The food is comparable to the finest cuisine in the Bay area. Good prices and precious desserts. MMMMM!

We had excellent service! Food was fresh and well prepared. There were 6 of us & we split many things so we could try more. They were very accommodating. Roasted polenta and beet salad was excellent. We closed the place!!!

Delicious food with a solid range of very good choices. Attractively decorated dining room in the historic hotel. Highly attentive, professional service. Jodi was excellent. Appreciate that the wine corkage fee was waived. Although it was too cold to use in January, the outdoor dining patio would be especially great for a summertime evening meal under the stars. Or...even in... More

Three of us went for brunch here last Sunday and found it a very enjoyable experience - the dining room is attractive with white table cloths, roses on the table, high ceilings, etc - and the menu had many appealing choices at extremely reasonable prices! The omelet and the potuffle were both good, but the favorite among the items we... More
