Delicious food with a solid range of very good choices. Attractively decorated dining room in the historic hotel. Highly attentive, professional service. Jodi was excellent. Appreciate that the wine corkage fee was waived. Although it was too cold to use in January, the outdoor dining patio would be especially great for a summertime evening meal under the stars. Or...even in... More

Three of us went for brunch here last Sunday and found it a very enjoyable experience - the dining room is attractive with white table cloths, roses on the table, high ceilings, etc - and the menu had many appealing choices at extremely reasonable prices! The omelet and the potuffle were both good, but the favorite among the items we... More

Had a great time staying at Imperial Hotel- everyone is so nice and the room was relaxing and cozy. Try to get room #1- I think it's the best.

We have stayed before in the Imperial when in Amador County; our recent experience in their restaurant wasn't quite up to previous standards. One of our entrees, a shrimp dish, arrived at the table half frozen; it was replaced after a 15 minute wait with a properly cooked dish, without any quibble. My chicken saltimbocca was perfect, but eating in... More

Food and interesting wall art all in the confines of a turn of the century style hotel. Among the sleepy little towns of the gold country lies the Imperial Hotel. A wonderful place to wine and dine your loved one or stay overnight. No town this small expects to have a dining experience this elevated. The town is small, but... More

My husband and I never miss eating here when we are up in Amador County. The employees are nice, the ambience relaxed and the food is very good.In the summertime it is nice to sit out on the back patio - there are a couple of cats that hang out there and being animal lovers we enjoy seeing them around.... First of all, the Imperial Hotel had graciously donated lunch for two in support of a local charity fund-raiser supporting the arts in schools; that's the first plus right there! Since we had the highest bid, we got to go out to lunch at this unique location. Went on a Sunday and sat outside on their newly renovated patio area... More

Off the main highway in historic Amador City is this gem of a hotel. Each of the six rooms is unique. We stayed in #5 with a king bed and private bath. It was cute, quiet and comfortable. Loved that there was no TV. Had dinner in their downstairs restaurant. The host, Pete, was very gracious. The high ceilinged dining... More

LOVED the breakfast of Ham Strada, fruit cup and blueberry muffin. Great coffee too! Dinner the night before was a couple of 'starters'. The butternut squash soup was delicious, but sort of on the verge of being lukewarm. That was the only thing we had any complaint with. The bread basket they brought out had a lovely wheat bread. The... More

We were staying at the Imperial Hotel and decided to make dinner easy and just eat in the hotel's dining room. We stopped by the bar on our way to the restaurant where we met Peter, the manager of the hotel, the bartender, waiter, bus boy...he had so many jobs that if he retired unemployment in this county would drop...
