At Opah Restaurant & Bar, we serve the finest fresh fish in Orange County. Carefully hand selected each day to deliver the best quality available. Come in and enjoy the menu created by Marc A. Cohen, One of the Best Chef's in Orange County. The menu is exquisite, featuring edible works of art, that look so good the could be on a magazine cover. Dont forget to try one of our signature Award Winning Martinis, or have some wine outside near the fireplace on the patio. We offer live music for our patrons on certain nights as well to add to the dining experience. If you wondering how we came up with the name Opah. It comes from the Hawaiian word for Moonfish, which was once viewed as Good Luck by fisherman, & often given away as a gesture of Good Will.

Good value

We enjoyed the cioppino, wedge salad, sea bass and fish and chips. Priced from $18 to $32. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is clean and very busy. We were there on Saturday night, even though they were busy were seated open our arrival.

Great food, especially the fish. Seating inside or out with a very nice atmosphere. Not the cheapest, but the best in the area. They have a great bar, the staff is friendly and parking is not a problem I always dine here at least once while in Laguna Woods and definitely will again.

The food is decent but just horribly overpriced. I'd steer clear. There are several great Seafood places closer to the beach

December 30, 2015 took my wife for lunch. She had the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich ($12) and I had the Mahi-Mahi ($22). Her sandwich was filling and very tasty. The side dish she ordered was rather large and we shared it. Fresh veggies, a nice selection and cooked to perfection. My fish was fine. We needed to ask the waiter to... More

I recently visited Opah with my cousin for dinner, and we thoroughly enjoyed both the food and setting. We were greeted by an attentive and very friendly host, who quickly had us seated. We ordered and shared the chicken meatballs appetizer, which was phenomenal and highly recommended (there are five meatballs, so if you're stingy like how I wanted to... More

I had lunch and dinner at Opah recently. Both of them were very good. I ordered sweet potato crises which is wonderful. Cioppino usually serviced as dinner but if you take lunch also can order that dish. It is so tasty with lots of seafood inside include lobster, shrimp, salmon, scallop, and clams. My family had dinner on Friday night... More

230 Forest in Laguna Beach has long been a favorite of ours. The last time we were in Laguna we ate at Chef Marc Cohen's other restaurant there, the Watermarc. Finding ourselves near Aliso Viejo one Saturday afternoon we couldn't resist trying Opah, the third of Chef Cohen's trio of restaurants, and we weren't disappointed. With the same delicious hamburger... More

On our weekend visit to Irvine to see the Solar Decathlon we had an open Saturday evening and tried Opah based on reviews. We were able to get in reasonably quickly, although parking took longer. We had the calamari to start with, We had the pork chop and seafood pasta dinners. The pork chop was more rare than expected, was... More

The food quality is average and it is priced a little above similar joints in this area. I went for dinner and was a little disappointed.
