What I like about Cafe Raj is that it is a family owned restaurant with friendly and efficient staff that serves a good selection of vegetarian dishes. My friend and I ordered vegetable korma and mixed vegetables. The portions served with a choice of Indian breads or white/brown were generous; the sauces were delicious. Food with meat and seafood are... More

"North Indian and Pakistani". Excellent food. Economical too. Exciting flavors beyond the standard Indian fare. Very nice decor and in a pleasant location.

Cafe Raj is a pretty nondescript place that's easy to pass by without looking, but every time I drive by there in the evenings I always see 3-4 tables of people enjoying their food. It's extremely good food at extremely reasonable prices. We go to Cafe Raj when we want an upscale, more comfortable (ie, more adult) version of House... More

Staff is nice, this is a low key place, food is really good and comes out fresh and hot! Yum on their naan and mushroom spinach dish! I love eating with my hands so it's perfect to order both of these items and use the naan to grab the main dish for a mouth watering delicious bite. It's so good!... More

Cafe Raj serves satisfying North Indian dishes. The vegetarian and vegan curries are especially good, with Bangan Barta my favorite. Chicken Tikka and Chicken Vindaloo are excellent. Portions are very generous, the atmosphere and service is friendly.

I like Indian cuisine. I also cook it at home at least once a month. It is very complex and time-consuming, so I appreciate what goes into providing true Indian food in a restaurant setting. There are other Indian restaurants nearby, some better, some worse. Raj will not disappoint you. If you are afraid of the food being too "hot,"... More

I always have a good meal here. It's popular and sometimes feels too crowded, the tables are quite close together.

Solano Ave is graced with at least 4 Indian restaurants. I consider Cafe Raj #2 behind Ajanta (which is far and away the best!). Cafe Raj is often loud and crowded and the help can be terse. The food is average.

Cafe Raj doesn't stand out much when you walk or drive past it, but it offers delectable authentic Indian cuisine at reasonable prices. The menu is quite versatile, but if your tastebuds require any specific bent to standard offerings, the cooks will certainly try to satisfy your wish. Hot seasonings, mild seasonings, no problem. Servings are generous, many orders could... More
