Very nice place for lunch

My wif and I dined on their Blazing Beef and Shanghai Garlic Noodles w/prawns. The beef dish was delisious. The noodles were a bit too spicy even though we asked for their mild version. However, when the wait staff noticed that we were not enjoying the noodles, they made up another plate without... read more

Very friendly family run business. All of the servers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Limited choices (that a good thing!) make selection and ordering a snap.

We came here for lunch with our daughter and her family. They had good salads and sandwiches, and a nice view of a marina. Our 5 year old granddaughter was happy with her noodles and chicken, the mango salad was excellent, and I had a vietnamese french dip sandwich which was quite good. I had actually ordered a half sandwich... More

We went here for my beloved spousal overunit's birthday and had an excellent time. The food was good, and not full of cilantro (I'm one of those to whom cilantro tastes like soap). The service was astoundingly good. Only the atmosphere lacked a bit - it felt very dinerish for what is actually a pretty nice restaurant.

The food is great, as is the service and the wine list. Try the "bouncing beef" and the house rolls. We were there on a Saturday and it was a bit odd to have the tables being cleared away around as they came free. Only when we left did we realise the place was being turned into a night club... In the new (well newish) location DR is much larger than before. There are still queues and sometimes the wait is long. But always worth it, and seating at the bar with a glass of wine is a pleasant way to wait. The food has always been excellent, a little pricey if you step out for the specialities such as... More

Came in early for dinner with a large party which they were able to accommodate on patio. Nice location overlooking water and Park St bridge in the East Bay. Food was solid with good sized portions. Service was a little scattered. I was glad to be in patio because restaurant itself could use a little refreshing. Waitstaff was nice and... More

I had spring rolls and mango salad. Shrimp spring rolls were fresh and tasty. Dipping sauces were very good. They offer a clear, sweet fish-based sauce and the typical peanut sauce. Mango salad was good, but not a meal. It would have worked as an appetizer. All of the contents are shredded and dry, but the salad did taste fresh.... More

This lovely restaurant on the water in Alameda has excellentVietnamese food and is very popular for both lunch (get an outside table) and dinner (inside the large glass windows for Bay Area evening chill). The contest winner is the Pineapple and shrimp in crisp Noodle nest, served in a pineapple half. The BBQ lemongrass grilled dishes and the very garlicky... More

I love this place, start with the Saigon Martini, (coconut, lemon = yummy) next a appetizer (we like the calamari) and then for the main course so many good things to choose. (garlic basil noodles with shrimp or the pork chop). Dragon Rouge is right on the water so great location, you can't go wrong!
