The meal was excellent; the service was lacking in some respects but overall good enough to make us come back. Of particular note: The Ciopinno. We ordered this as a combo for two. The sauce is absolutely amazing. Full flavored in every respect! Seafood selection was excellent. The combo meal comes with a salad and pasta. The pasta isn't necessary,... More

If you didn't know where out side was, you swear you was in Italy. Looks like Italy inside with the decor and charm. The food is different but good. Small servings but I guess they eat smaller portions in Italy. It was a treat. I understand some evenings they have live music to accompany you while you have dinner. Nice... More

We stopped here on a whim. It was a bit pricey for a whim, but well worth it - the food was superb and the service both professional and personal. I can't recommend it too highly.

We had a very good dining experience here with attentive service and good recommendations from our server. The salads were fresh with a nice combination of ingredients (e.g., warm beets and balsamic vinegar). We also had two pastas that were very good with the homemade squash ravioli being extremely flavorful and creative (even had butternut squash in the pasta noodle)

We came here to celebrate my birthday. As a vegetarian, it can be somewhat challenging to find a good meal. I enjoyed the risotto with a pesto treatment. Roman coins salad is always lovely (beets with greens.) Nice wine list. I got a good pinot grigo while my husband had a chianti. Atmosphere was homey and pleasant, surrounded by paintings... More

For some reason, this restaurant gets mixed reviews. My wife and I have gone there many times and we have never been dissapointed. The food is excellent. My possible dishes are vegetarian, and I love their eggplant. My wife tends toward seafoood dishes and she loves all of them. The salads are incredible. We are not novices, in that we... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Excellent food combined with a great friendly service is what you get consistently at Cera Una Volta. I love their Paninis in particular. You can sense the great cooking and the fine quality of ingredients with every bite. I recommend the restaurant heartily.

After reading the mixed reviews for this restaurant, I was a bit hesitant to try it , but I went for dinner with my husband and brother, hoping for the best and that is exactly what we all got and then some. We started with bruschetta and each of the men ordered a Caesar salad. Both being fans of anchovies... More

Tucked into a leafy walkway off Park Street (Alameda Avenue) this exquisite Italian bistro has wonderful food prepared by a native Italian and his wife. Everyone speaks Italian. Beautiful interior + stunning art. Great wine bar. Changing menu always surprises me but never disappoints. Outside seating for coffee, drinks and meals too. Home base for the Italian America's Cup team... More

We've been going to this restaurant for years for birthdays, anniversaries and graduations, you name it! Food, ambiance and service are all excellent! Their Caprese Antipasti dish is the best we've had. The Ravioli del Mare, in lobster cream sauce is a favorite I keep going back to, especially if the ravioli is also filled with lobster! And the absolute... More
