Sit facing the boats! Beautiful. Only nice place to eat around there! Service was great. Food was average.

Best Italian restaurant in Alameda . I love seating with the view of the Marina and watch the boats go by. We ordered calamari-nothing to brag about; warm bread is served as soon we were seated; I ordered POLLO E SPINACIO - Chicken, spinash, mushroom, sun dried tomatoes in a creamy curry sauce tossed with fettuccine-it was what i expected;... I took my parents there for dinner and they enjoyed the waterfront view and live music. Food is good for the price and wait staff is courteous.

I first went to this restaurant 35 years ago when my wife and I were still dating. At that time it was the Rusty Scupper and served seafood as it fare. It has since been through several reiterations as a restaurant and is now the Pasta Pelican. Unfortunately the owner seem to feel no need to change the decor or... More

I did not know about this out of the way restaurant on the water over-looking Jack London Square until a local took me there. My research indicated that the restaurant got very mixed reviews so I did not know what to expect. We wanted to sit upstairs but unfortunately there was an event so that we were limited to the... After reading reviews, it seems that this restaurant is a "hit or miss" experience. More than likely this has to do with who is cooking that day. Had a Groupon 3 course meal for 2 that included 2 glasses of wine all for for $35. PROS: Started with warm bread, with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, cheese for dipping-YUM! Appetizer... More

Attended a social function here with about 50 people. Buffet dinner served: baked salmon way overcooked; pasta good, garlic bread very good. Wonderful evening view of Oakland estuary. Prices for regular diners decent. Come for the view, not the food.

Pros: Lovely views (tricky to find this place though); appetizers were excellent (brushcetta) and dessert was good as well (chocolate mousse cake). We were using a Groupon. Cons: Server was very nice, but wanted to take our entree order BEFORE even being served our appetizer! Told him we were not in a rush and he backed off a bit. The... More

We went to Pasta Pelican last night. Great location, but not so great food. We would of thought there would be many fish dishes, not so. Pasta is there main menu theme. My wife and I ordered pasta; mainly, that was only choice. We had a Cesar salad; very good, clam chowder; average at best, and our pasta dishes; average.... More
