Great view

We really enjoyed the food . It starts with the basket of bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic. We had the fried calamari appetizer, seafood ravioli and seafood pasta. I liked my meal here. In town on business, and wanting something non-chain, I was happy trying this place. I had penne with meat (Meatbals, sausage, and ham). The ham was a little crispy, but otherwise, it was very good. authentic Italian, and at $15 my meal was reasonably priced for a waterfront restaurant.

Pasta Pelican always delivers a tasty meal! The bread with garlic, balsamic and olive oil is delicious, dinner never disappoints and the wine list is good and moderately priced. Nice view of the estuary and Jack London square. Parking is a bit of a stinker though!

Nice array of pasta dishes on the me menu. Really enjoyed the seafood raviolis as a dinner entre. Great view of the estuary between Alameda and Oakland. Dinning is on two levels with the bar on the upstairs level along with live music on the weekends.

Took family for a nice meal. Love the caprese appetizer. Penne spring is a flavorful main course option. Puttanesca and pesto were good choices as well. Loved the walnut apple cobbler ala mode. Nice wine selection.

This is a lovely setting, overlooking the Oakland waterways and across to Jack London Square... and the menu has some very interesting pasta dishes, along with other items, but this evening the service while attentive was rather slow (from the kitchen), and they knew it (having given us a complimentary dessert as a result). We weren't in a hurry but... More

My daughter was visiting from Oregon. We wanted a nice dinner. Past Pelican was the perfect place to eat. We were seated by a window as the sun was going down. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. My daughter had some changes in here food. She didn't want mushrooms and had broccoli instead. She also had them substitute the creamy... More

Our family had dinner this evening at the Pasta Pelican Restaurant in Alameda, California. I would say that the atmosphere/ambiance of the restaurant is very nice as it sits on the estuary between Oakland and Alameda.....excellent water views! The food was average as I had the BBQ Meat Loaf entree. My wife had the Baby Beets salad and she said... More

I haven't been to this restaurant in many years. Back then it was the Rusty Pelican. Now, it's Pasta Pelican. The food was really good. The atmosphere was nice, not too noisy. They have a wonderful view overlooking the Alameda/Oakland Estuary and Jack London Square. I was impressed with the food, and the prices were reasonable for a nice restaurant.... More

We seem to go here at least once a month. It is literally right on the water. The carbonara is excellent. I can almost make a meal of the bread served with crushed garlic and olive oil. So if you want a window zeat overlooking the water with a view of Jack London Square with great food this is the... More
