I dine here quite frequently and am never disappointed. Lunch is always fantastic and very affordable for the quality of food you receive. Dinner is also wonderful. I have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries here and always receive outstanding service, delicious food, and a great overall experience. I definitely come back for their mushroom ravioli and any lamb dish they might... More

We arrived at Oakland airport at 4:40pm and were seated at Asena Restaurant in Alemeda by 5pm. We sat outside amongst the flowers and had a glass of wine before our entrees arrived. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. My swordfish was perfectly prepared. My wife had the pork medallions with roasted fruit chutney. Also superb. My sons both... More

My wife & I fly out from Chicago twice a year to spend time with our daughter & grandkids. We have eaten in many places around Oakland Airport and SF airport. We are really old and have eaten in lots of other places as well. We have never had a more outstanding dining experience than this. We found Asena on... More

Our friends recently moved to Alameda, so we're excited to be able to visit new restaurants. Asena is truly a gem. Our table shared the pear apple soup, which was sweet and savory. We also had the fried artichokes, which were perfect! Our entrees consisted of lamb ravioli, halibut and lamb chops, and we practically licked our plates clean. The... More

A nice variety of different dishes with a Mediterranean touch. Reasonable prices and good service make it a great place to go for a "nice" dinner.

We have been to Asena several times since moving to Alameda. From our visits, we can see that this is a go to for many others in the area. Asena is consistent and friendly. I don't find much variation in the menu and sometimes the service is slow if they have a new waiter onboard or they are busy. Not... More

Although we have only been to Asena a few times, we are impressed with the consistency of their food and service. Asena is a fun blend of Turkish and Greek cuisine that is both comfortable and inventive. Our group of four started with traditional cocktails and then tried three starters, artichoke hearts with a crispy crust (better than fried chicken),... More

Had another great meal at Asena last weekend. The staff is wonderful - they always make you feel welcome and appreciated. The food was delicious - I had the chicken phyllo, which was flaky and very flavorful. The chocolate pot de creme was wonderful. Great place!

We used Asena as the caterer for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner based on a recommendation and it was a smash hit. The food and presentation were flawless and garnered nothing but praise from everyone. We have also eaten at the restaurant and never been left wanting. A delightful experience from start to finish.

Asena has been consistently great over many years. We take our customers there and visit ourselves for both lunch and dinner. The specials are always a treat, particularly the pastas, accompanied by thoughtful wine recommendations. Start with a cocktail and don't look back. This is our favorite restaurant in Alameda and we try to get there often!
