While I admit that German cuisine is not my favorite, I was truly dissapointed in my meal at Speisekammer. I found the food to be less than average (maybe I ordered the wrong thing), but the prices to be above average. The small restaurant was loud making it hard to have a conversation. I don't think I will go back. more

I have travelled throughout Europe and must say that for great tasting and Authentic Germanic dining there really is no alternative in the East Bay to Speisekammer. Obviously vegans will be disappointed here, but for those who are seeking Gehmutlikheit (good times) and who possess a hearty apetite will be well pleased. Properly stored, poured and fresh Central European beers... more
