Great food

Great food, celiac friendly. Wide variety of interesting foods. Staff was knowledgable about celiac disease so was good for my wife.

This is a smaller type place, not quite a hole in the wall, but still has the charm of one. The food was excellent. W has the Mango Chicken, Tea Leaf Salad and Ginger Chilli. It was all really good and tasty. I will be happy to come here next time I'm in town.

Overcrowded with unnecessary waiting for quality of food. Other restaurants nearby are as interesting but don't have the cache. Worth the visit.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, specifically the tea leaf salad because of all the hype. We started off with the Platha with a curry dip that was mild and flavorful. The salad was a bit overdressed for my taste but it was still pretty good. So unique with all the different ingredients. We were... More

I'm bit hesitant to try different cuisine. As the next door Indian restaurant was closed, I chanced on this for my dinner. I was expecting this to be close to Thai/Chinese cuisine but this is almost different cuisine. They have very few veg options, I had only 2 options. My food came quickly and food taste was good. The portions... More

I checked out Trip Advisor for a good Asian restaurant close to the hotel I was staying at and this came high in the ratings if not too! Although a little difficult to park being on a main strip it was certainly worth the visit. Having never been to Burma it was a good mix of Indian and Thai cuisines... More

I'm a frequent guest at Burma superstar. First time for the shrimp and prawns. They were amazing. Good serving size. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. The tea leaf salad remains one of the best dishes at any restaurant anywhere.

We decided to have lunch here after trying earlier in week, the foes is good, we ordered the Tea Leaf salad which was good, I had to have the waiter hold off on mixing the salad so I could have a before and after picture. We head the platha and dip also good, the Superstar vegetarian noodles and the chicken... More

First and foremost, the food is what all the other reviews say. Good flavor, decent portions. Now the interesting. ..pretentious wait staff, higher prices, and most importantly poor customer service skills. We evidently had shown up 40 minutes before they closed...the restaurant was busy, and it took 20+ minutes to get to place our order. We had not wven gotten... More

Before it became Burma Superstar, I loved this restaurant. But I just don't like the food here anymore, and considering the lines/wait times it's just not worth it when there are so many better restaurants in Alameda. I love the green tea salad at Mandalay in SF, but at Burma Superstar it is completely different - cheapened with lettuce, which... More
