Fabulous tasty food

The food is the Burma style, fresh and wonderful flavors. The tea leaf salad is a dish we always order, it is a feast of tastes in your mouth. Another one one of my favs is the chicken casserole, with rice.....

All roads point to #1 rating on Trip Advisor. This restaurant has awesome food. I want to eat here everyday just to try everything. I had the the mango chicken with garlic noodles. Everything was excellent ~ ginger beer was good.

Great food here. Be prepared to wait a long time to get a table. I usually have to wait about 30 minutes to an hour and a half to get a table. Its worth the wait. You can always get a drink or coffee down the street. They will call your cell when your table is ready.

I was introduced to Burmese food for the first time at Burma Superstar in Alameda, I can't stop talking about how unique and delicious this restaurant is. The Samusa soup and tea leaf salad provided a flavor explosion for my taste buds. The Platha dip is also a must try. I would recommend getting there early. There is always a... More

If you want to try something out of the ordinary, the tea salad is the way to go. It is delicious, and big enough to split should you want anything else on the menu. All the food is excellent. The restaurant does not take reservations, so it is better to go early (11:30) or late (1:30) for lunch, as the... More

First time to dine at this restaurant. Came with a friend who is a regular at this restaurant. He tried almost three quarters of food listed on the menu. He recommended that I should try Tea Leaf Salad and we each pick one dish to share. He chose Superstar Shrimps and I chose Chili Lamb (which he hasn't tried yet).... More

The food is exquisite. However, the service is only average. The tea leaf salad is exceptional. The lettuce was frsesh and crisp with exotic herbs. It is perfect as a main or side dish. It is so refreshing!

We were looking for a lunch place while we were in town. This restaurant came up as #1 in Alameda, so we thought we would try it. The restaurant is a little difficult to find. Their sign outside is very small and faded. Once located, there was a sign-in clipboard on the door to write your name and phone number... More

This place is always crowded! The place is pretty small and always has a wait during lunch and dinner hours, but it's because they serve great, unique food you won't just find anywhere. I haven't had anything bad here! I love all their noodle dishes, and my boyfriend and I love their sweet walnut prawns with coconut rice! Come early,... More
