Came here at the recommendation of a friend. We had to wait a bit for a table, but it was very much worth it. We over ordered thinking we'd have leftovers for the next day....hardly! Everything we ordered was delicious. Favorites were the vegetarian lettuce cups and the Rainbow salad. Wish we lived closer! Also a note about the young... More

We got there near closing. Host was very gracious and food was as fresh as when a place first opens even though they were closing. Great fermented tea leaf salad. Ginger tea. Scrumptious. Cute place. Full bar.

I understand it is a small chain but the local branch is up to its billing and a go to destination. Issues are that there's usually a waiting line out front anywhere near dinner hours and the last time I checked they don't deliver. But takeout is available. Really like the orange beef

I have always wanted to eat at this place, and with a layover in Oakland seized the opportunity, so worth it! For starters, downtown Alameda what a surprise! Waited a few minutes and was seated at the counter. The staff was so friendly and expertly guided me thru the menu. The food could not have been better. The Rainbow Salad... More

Every dish I've had here has been very good. They are famous for the tea salad, which is our favorite. My kids really like the lotus chips. Go early (5:30) for dinner or you will likely have a long wait. The restaurant can be crowded. There's about 10 to 12 tables in the main room and another 4 to 6... More

Love the curry dishes, Mango shrimp and the delicious coconut rice; the jasmine tea is super refreshing. On Fridays you better get there before 6:00 or you will have to wait a while.

The restaurant is small and tables are placed very closely and the food is very good. They do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait for a table. The flavors are a treat for the palette. The prices are good, and because there are so many items to entice, it can become an expensive meal.
