"The best, is not always the most expensive

So, "who knew", and much has been made at the unexpected location (strip mall--just off of Reyes Adobe Rd.) of a restaurant of this quality. Yes I gave it 5 circles and I have had better meals at more expensive restaurant--but rarely (if ever) has this quality been this reasonably priced. I have... read more

My husband took me to this restaurant for my birthday and we were not disappointed. The food was very good, the service excellent and the decor very plush.

Had a great time at Cafe 14, can't wait to go back. Try the sea bass, but the tuna tartare was also one of my favorites. Nice place to take your time.

Our first visit to this restaurant, several years ago,was because we read an excellent review of the place. The food was excellent but the service was abysmally slow. We decided to give it another chance. The second time the service was so bad we had to get up to get our own water to refill our glasses. We swore never... More

We were fortunate enough to take over the whole restaurant. We started with sea food buffet. That included lobster, shrimp, octopus squid salad and clams. Two sauces, basil aioli and classic home made cocktail sauce. These were wonderfully freshly prepared and everyone loved everything. We paired the 2012 Turley White Coat which was perfect with the sea food. The next... More

It is always a fun night, and a chance to get dressed up, or not. Excellent service, always. The entrees are superb. The sheltered patio is our choice, cozy.

Came for dinner with friends, easy online reservation service. Classy ambiance, patio dining was both intimate and relaxed. Portion sizes were spot-on, prices were just right for the high quality ingredients. Highly recommend the pommes frites and the blood orange salad. And don't miss dessert-- put that diet on hold and enjoy yourself. It's worth it!

Phenomenal food and experience. Chefs Claudine and Neil have created a real gem, in a shopping center you've probably visited-- you just didn't know they were tucked back in the corner. Our server was attentive yet discreet, kept our drinks refilled as needed. The scallops were the best I've ever had, and I nearly licked the sauce from the plate.... More

Don't know what all the hoopla is about. Was expecting a wonderful meal with lovely ambience a hidden gem. The reality is a very small space that lacked ambience with food that was subpar. The servers tho knowledgeable had no personality whatsoever and actually came cross very surly. Our meal lacked flavors and creativity. Terribly overpriced for what you receive.

A bit geriatric as far as the crowd,as we're young folks... but the food is absolutely the best. The tuna tartare was the best we have ever had.
