That Louisiana Experience

I am a football fan and know the importance of football in Louisiana . When you walk in there is no doubt that LSU is represented . They play good football although I like Penn State and the Hurricanes of Miami. The next best is LSU ..The restaurant is good atmosphere is cordial.. The catfish is... read more

We had heard of this strip-mall restaurant several times, but never got around to trying it out. That was a bad decision. This quiet, anonymous little restaurant is OUTSTANDING. When it comes to Cajun and southern cooking, this anonymous little restaurant is much better than Pappadeaux, and half the price. (Check out my TripAdvisor review of Pappadeux just last month.)... We love Louisiana cooking but honestly was not impressed at all with this place. We had the Fried Green Tomatoes for an appetizer. They were good and the highlight of the meal since it went downhill from there. I ordered the Crawfish Etouffee because it's one of my favorite Cajun dishes. The rice was not fresh, the etouffee was lukewarm... More

The second time I ate here with friends, I skipped the bread of a po'boy and had the dunkin' catfish. This dish consists of a bed of rice with fried catfish on top, with crawfish etouffee on top of that. This dinner also comes with a salad, which I think is kind of silly. Why do something healthy before I... More

. After a brief layover in Phoenix, we were searching for a place to get good fish. We came across this restaurant through an online search. Most of the reviews were good, so we borrowed the company car and drove 14 miles to get there. From the outside it was nice, with outside seating, and upon entering there was a friendly... More

This is the best Cajun food you will find within a 1000 miles! I'm from Louisiana and the food here is better than the Cajun cafe's in Houston!

Our server, Aaron knows his stuff. He took the time to go through the entire menu with us. Granted, it was a slower time but by the time he finished we wanted one of each. To begin with we are hard core foodies and will try anything. It had to be good and it was. The deep fried green tomatoes... More

My friends and I are always on the lookout for non-chain restaurants in the West Valley. After reading fellow "yelpers" reviews, we decided to give Flavors of Louisiana a shot and I am so glad we did. Flavors of Louisiana got it right. Fresh food, flavorful ingredients, large portions, modest prices, excellent cutomer service and easy access parking out front.... More
