My husband and I have lived in Arizona for a very long time. My husband is from Louisiana and has been searching for some descent southern style cooking since he moved here. Finally the other night when we were watching Check Please Arizona and they featured Flavors of Louisiana, we found a little piece of Louisiana in the desert. Fortunately... More

This restaurant serves generally very good food. Some of the fried items, very flavorful, can be over-fried, I suspect because the kitchen gets so busy it's hard to give each item the attention needed to get it out of the oil in as timely a manner as necessary for optimal cooking. (The hush puppies of my youth were never a... More

After hearing about this restaurant from friends, we decided to check it out for ourselves! Oh boy, were we surprised!! The menu is 2 pages of incredible foods that I haven't seen in the West Valley... ever! The Po-Boy section alone will take us some time to get through!!! We had a tough time deciding, but picked out Fried Green... More

For Arizona Southern Style place it's was pretty good. Bread was fresh and good. Hush puppies were good and fried green tomatoes in my opinion less corn meal in batter would be better. My grandmother was from Mississippi and her hush puppies to fried green tomatoes where a memory that can't be replaced. Service was at first uninviting as the... More

I decided to try something new and this place was highly rated online. Unfortunately they were too busy to wait on my son and I so we left. Before leaving I told the gentlemen upfront that we had waited sometime and several people were receiving service ahead of us, but he didn't seem to care.

Oyster Po - Boys in Phoenix can be hazardous to ones health, so seafood recommendations are hard to endorse. This place has it all right. Fresh, good portions, modest prices, quality ingredients, excellent service. Easy access and parking in front. I liked the casual atmosphere and the smiling staff. One gets the idea they believe in this place and I... More

If you're looking for a po boy...gater...shrimp etouffee...at a reasonable price...and don't mind eating on paper plates...this is the spot!! Never would have found this place if it hadn't been for a friend who moved here from Louisiana...and told us to try it!!

This place has great food, it is sort of a hole in the wall gem, I recommend it all of the time. This place take me back to the time I live in Louisiana. It is a must go for cajun food lovers!

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and based on reviews went to dinner. First let me say the Gumbo was delicious. Best I have had since last summer in New Orleans. The rest of the dinner was good and based on food alone I would go back. However the service was another matter. I waited 20 minutes for my Gumbo,... More

A nice restaurant near LA Fitness with true deep south Cajun goodies, Yummy! Love there dirty rice and beans and of course their Jambalaya. If they have peach cobbler do not pass it up, a wonderful treat with ice cream. The food is not too spicy or hot and if you want it hotter there is plenty of hot sauces... More
