Great Food!

This is the ideal meat and 2/3 restaurant. The fried chicken is delicious and the veggies are good. Everyone must be prepared for a possible wait. It was casual and friendly.

great food for the soul. It is like a home cooked meal without all of the clean up. I highly recommend the pork roast and dressing if it is available and of course the chicken is always good.

Was SO glad that we checked TripAdvisor and found this gem! The food is freshly prepared and piping hot with proportions fit for a hungry teenage boy. This family-run business is certainly a blessing for the community it serves...good prices, quantity, and quality of food.

We went for lunch because we had a taste for some fried chicken as we were visiting our Auburn University for the day. Oh my gosh. The food is amazing. The chicken was excellent. The black-eye peas - perfect. Cornbread awesome. Even the tea was exceptional. And the staff is delightful. Everything was so good, we can't wait to go... More

First let me say, the ladies are real sweethearts, felt like Sunday dinner at church. Grew up in southern Ohio eating fried chicken every Sunday. (Granted we usually killed our own on Saturday). My mother and all my aunts made better fried chicken then this (one still makes chicken so good, she would have shooed all ya out of the... More

Chicken truly was "to die for" and I'm VERY picky about chicken. Mashed potatoes were fresh not box, Lima beans and fried okra DELISH, cornbread lil sweet but good. Sweet tea was TOO SWEET, so cut it 1/2 n 1/2 with unsweet tea. Cream corn was fresh not canned, but again, lil too sweet. Will def be back often. Price... More

So everyone proves about their fried chicken, I found it, just ok. But their broccoli cheese casserole was amazing, I could have just had that for lunch, and I am not a fan of broccoli. I had their Chicken and dumplings and it was good, ironically I found myself looking for more dumplings:-) great flavor. Veggies are very good. Staff... More

This is a great place to get good ol' Southern Cookin' from very friendly people. You go through a serving line where very nice ladies efficiently fill your plate with your choices of meat (or catfish on Fridays) and vegetables (greens, black-eyed peas, yams, green beans, slaw, etc.) and cornbread or roll. Drink (serve yourself soft drinks, or sweet or... More
