Skip this place on game days

I once ate here on a game day and was less than impressed. We tried it again on a weekday late afternoon and it was a really good sandwich. We had eight of us and the service was super quick and the food was tasty.

Ok so the food was ok. I am from NY, so this was not my idea of a "deli" but it was pretty good. It is counter service and then they bring the food out to your table. I got a reuben and I have definitely had better. I did like the fact that they served Dr. Browns soda (Cream... More

On a non-game day, this is a great place to grab a good sandwich, have a beer, and relax. Mama G's is my favorite sandwich shop in Auburn!

My husband is from Auburn and we come back often. We always make a point to eat at Momma G's. There are several around opelika/auburn. We go with family (and kids) or just as a couple. They do serve alcohol. It is a pretty laid back there. I always get the mommas love sandwich. My husband likes the bull rider.... More

Look, if you're not from the State of Alabama, then you can't understand the rivalry between Alabama and Auburn. So when an Alabama graduate tells you that he loves to eat at an Auburn tradition, then that should speak for itself. This is the original Momma's that I learned about from a college at work. The steamed sandwiches are great.... More

Went to the Opelika Mamma G's on game day, was busy but that was not a reason for the lack of meat or toppings on a $6 sub. It wasn't just one sandwich but all 4 of ours. Also, the females of the group complained about the lack of cleanliness of the bath rooms and no paper towels (3 hours... More

I had an excellent experience here! Came before a game so it was fairly busy but service and food were still high quality! Would highly recommend the grilled buffalo wrap and of course the nachos. $6 pitchers can't be beat either! Definitely will be coming back when I'm in town!

This place is an Auburn tradition. Some old building that was there when I was a student 25 years ago. Fresh made sandwiches which are still very tasty! Definitely should stop here when visiting Auburn.

The sandwiches were fresh and service was excellent and speedy, even though it was a game day. This place is an Auburn staple, and definitely worth checking out. The menu is simple, but has enough variety for everyone to find something they will enjoy. Well kept and clean, even with the big crowds.
